"When I started this journey two and a half years ago, I couldn’t even imagine where it could take me.
Starting work for a Dutch company through Becky.works was much more than a job change.
In the beginning it was just me who worked for Mill Finance from Belgrade and there were a lot of new things at once. A new working environment in Belgrade’s office, a new team that had yet to be met in Amsterdam, a new culture, new software, different working principles... The fact that we work and communicate in a language that is not native to either of us was also not a relief.
Despite all that, incredible support, a lot of understanding and good energy in both offices (Belgrade and Amsterdam) made it easy to overcome the beginners difficulties. I managed to fit in and to cath up everything quickly so the team expansion was logical next step. Today I can confidently say that together with my team members Aleksandra Tošić and Maja Marjanovic, we represent an important and vital part of the company, contributing to its constant growth and development.
Although we work hundreds of kilometers away, this does not threaten the team spirit, on the contrary, it is perhaps even more present. A nice tradition that we have established – to meet every three month in the Holland or in Serbia certanly contributes to this. These visits are all about working together, instructions and guidance, but we also use the opportunity to get to know each other better and learn about our cultures.
And then there are our fabulous team building trips that we practice once per a year. While we are preparing for this year’s (we will not reveal the location yet 😊) we are still recounting last year’s anecdotes from Ibiza."
