Is an ‘employee experience winter’ coming? According to Forrester's "Predictions 2024: The Future of Work" report, the employee experience will take a back seat in 2024, and could become an easy target for cutting costs. Between 2022 and 2023, employee engagement fell from 48% to 44%, and is expected to fall to 39% in 2024. For JP Gownder, Vice President and Principal Analyst of Forrester's Future of Work team, this disinvestment is partly due to the fact that the labor market is less tight. He points out, however, that this is a trap that companies will fall into, as there is no longer any need to prove the impact of the employee experience on productivity. "If you don’t invest in EX and your numbers go down, you know who to blame,” he said. Read the article : https://lnkd.in/e2YwPswz #employeeexperience #employeesatisfaction #futureofwork #forrester

Enhancing Employee Trust: The Key to Organizational Success. Mercer's latest research has uncovered a concerning trend: employee trust in organizations has declined since 2022, dropping from 80% to 69%. This decline, highlighted in the 2024 Global Talent Trends report, sheds light on critical areas where employers must focus their efforts. The reasons for this decline are multifaceted; however, amidst these challenges lies an opportunity for growth and improvement. At Applauz, we understand that building and maintaining employee trust is paramount. That's why we're committed to continuously gathering anonymous employee feedback through our award-winning Pulse Surveys program. Why does this matter? Because trust is not built overnight; it's cultivated through transparency, inclusivity, and strategic action. Our Pulse Surveys empower organizations to listen to their employees' voices, understand their concerns, and make informed decisions to address them. As highlighted by industry experts like Simon White and Pete Cooper, involving employees in company decisions and understanding their pain points through surveys are crucial steps in fostering trust. It's about treating employees as valued members of the team, empowering them with information, and creating an environment where they feel heard and appreciated. #EmployeeEngagement #TrustBuilding #WorkplaceCulture

Just posting this new blog published on the Orwell Independent website today. Interesting views from Armin Trost on why employee surveys fail - much of which I agree with - and adding some of my own thoughts about what can be done to improve take-up, efficacy, and action thereafter. On a related note - I continue to be amazed at how many commercial 'solutions' for stakeholder engagement neglect to qualify and clarify survey data with human to human follow-up conversations. Forrester's "Predictions 2024: The Future of Work" report foresees a concerning trend termed as an "EX winter," indicating a potential decline in prioritising employee experience in the upcoming year. The report suggests a noticeable shift where companies are showing reduced interest in improving employee experience overall. Consequently, strategies aimed at boosting engagement, productivity, and overall growth are seemingly taking a back seat. This shift in focus raises concerns about its lasting impact on workforce morale, productivity, and overall organisational well-being as companies navigate this period of reduced emphasis on employee experience. #EmployeeExperience #HR #FutureOfWork
