We are celebrating our 1st year 🎗 Here is what I wish I knew before starting Credit: at the beginning stage, your company will not have any credit. Therefore, it can be extremely hard to move freight, unless you already have a big driver base that trusts you. In many cases, you can offer the drivers payment before the delivery, and they will still refuse to book, because of lack of trust. Niche down: choose a small niche, and start doing research. Learn the common issues that shippers face in this specific niche. Come up with solutions to those issues. Focus on these solutions, when doing cold calls or sales in general. Overhead: As you start growing, you will get many calls and emails from companies offering services (tracking services, TMS, marketing, customer leads, business optimizations, credit improvements, etc.). Most of these services will have a binding contract, meaning you will not be able to cancel these services unless the contract ends (some can last up to 3 years). Think twice, before accepting any of these services, because most of your customers can switch to a competitor in any day. This can result in a situation of low cash flow and high overhead, potentially leading to bankruptcy.
Celebrating our 1st anniversary 🎉

4th Aug, 2008 – the day when first landed in Honda and the day that made today my 15th work anniversary. As I thought about this day, I could not hold myself from reflecting on what these 15 years have been about... It’s fun and helpful to reflect on these 15 years – fun because I have had successes and failures during this time, a lot more than the busyness of these years allowed me to celebrate; and helpful because I can continue building on success basis on learning from the failures I had. A lot happened in these times... changed jobs – mostly by choice while few circumstantial; moved across projects - completed most of them while shelved a few; been part of multiple teams – created most while joined a few; led various businesses – most were built while few were inherited; mentored by few, learned from many; met people – built new relationships, severed a few; learned lessons, unlearnt a few.. the journey had been full of highs and lows. While I continue progressing on this journey – I want to pause to thank the companies who believed in my abilities, all who commissioned all these projects, my colleagues and team member as it was because of you I enjoyed the success that came by my way, and very importantly my family and friends who have been staying put with my workaholic habits – without anyone of you this would have been impossible. I did not celebrate it as this is a milestone on the journey which is still pending to be completed. As most of my learning is from my failures and through some of my toughest experiences. I believe its failings and difficult situations that teach the best of the lessons.. I continue my journey of learning and support to develop a Eco Friendly & Sustanable world for Next Generation.. Thanks everyone to support in this Journey..🌱🌱

HR Business Partner | Founding HR | Hire-to-Retire | Learning & Development | Strategy & Implementation (HR Ops) | Japanese Language
When I started my career, I wanted to stay in the same company for a really long time (at that time, this meant 15 to 20 years). Because that's what everyone around me seemed to be doing. They joined a company, maybe shifted a couple of times, and then stayed in the same organization till they retired ✅ What I understood later was, though everyone around me was doing this, it was not the norm. After some research (though not very in-dept, I must admit), I found that on an average, people change their jobs every 2 to 5 years 🤷♀️ So very naively, I thought, "Ok, let me also do that. It's what everyone seems to be doing and it's working for them" (I was in my early twenties, so no judgements there 😁) It took me many years to understand the truth behind it all. The truth being, it is not a mandate to changes companies every 2 or 3 years, nor is it a mandate to spend 20 years of your career in a single organization. There is no mandate (yes, there is no secret ingredient 🐼). So after many failures, hasty decisions, & short-term thinking I realized, the best way to decide how long to stay in a place is by choosing the option that aligns with your long- term career goals and short-term priorities. Do what's best for you at that moment but without losing focus on your future aspirations 💪 This is what I did when I joined Leadle as a part-time consultant 2 years ago. And if someone invented an affordable way to time travel, I would go back to the "me" 2 years back and profusely thank her, because this is one of the best decisions I have ever made 😎 The last 2 years with Leadle have been nothing short of an adventure. I'm so looking forward to what the next 2 years have in store for me 👀 🚀 #leadle #leadliteforlife #2years #workanniversary #career #focus #storycontinues
