New to the world, but already capturing the hearts of many! Proud parents Chasity Robles and Sergio Villegas welcomed a bundle of joy to the world on July 1st, 2024 at Hartford Hospital. The newborn is on a path to a brighter future thanks to the Baby Bonds program - which officially launched one year ago by the Connecticut State Office of the Treasury. The Connecticut Baby Bonds program is designed to create financial assets for babies born at various hospitals across the state. Each eligible child, born on or after July 1, 2023, with birth costs covered by HUSKY Health, will receive $3,200 invested by the state. This fund grows over time and becomes accessible when the child turns 18, provided they remain Connecticut residents. The money can be used for higher education, home purchase, business investment, retirement savings, or other approved wealth-building activities. This program is a powerful step towards building a more equitable future for all children and families in our state. Here's to the many possibilities ahead! Congratulations to Chasity & Sergio! #BabyBonds #Connecticut #HartfordHealthCare #HartfordHospital
