That is the question at the heart of IJ's new Supreme Court petition, filed by a family-owned hardware store business whose property was taken by a small Long Island town.

For over a century, the freedom to use property has been eroded through abusive zoning practices that emphasize top-down planning over property rights. Now IJ's #Zoning Justice Project aims to protect and promote the freedom to use property.
