Marketing Executive - Le Meridien Nagpur at Marriott International | Elevating Brands and Expanding Market Reach
Here I am, months into this job, and my desk has become both my closest companion and my greatest challenge. 🙃 A few months ago, I never imagined I’d be this strong, confidently handling everything that comes my way. I’ve learned, unlearned, and gone through more emotional states than I can count. But guess what? I’m still standing tall, tackling every task like a champ! 💪 I just wanted to take a moment to give myself a little pat on the back and say, ‘You’re doing great, keep going!’ Because, really, I’m a work in progress, and that’s perfectly okay. Let’s keep the learning party going! 🎉🚀 #StrongerEveryDay #ProgressMatters #marketingmatters #marketingadvice #hoteliers #hotelmarketing #marriottinternational #marriottcareers #hotelindustry

Reflecting on the profound impact of everyday interactions. Years ago, as a front desk manager at a newly opened resort, a simple act of kindness led to a life-changing moment. A woman with her infant son approached me, asking to see a guest room. Little did I know, she was the Associate Director in our company’s regional sales office, who would soon be returning to work from maternity leave. Since the resort had opened during her leave, she hadn't been able to attend the resort tours for her team. I felt compelled to give her a full tour, and we ended up spending over an hour exploring the resort together. Her gratitude was overwhelming at the end of our impromptu tour. Months later, after she had returned to work, she approached me at the desk. Remembering our earlier encounter, she thanked me again for the tour, but then asked me a surprising question: had I ever considered a career in group sales? That moment marked the beginning of an incredible journey. A short while later she became the Director of Sales in our regional sales office, and after working in that office as a Group Sales Manager for a few years, I advanced to Associate Director of Sales. Our office became a tight-knit team, many of whom I still call friends today. She remains my mentor, and though our paths diverged as we took on different leadership roles (and eventually we both chose to go back into individual contributor roles to focus more on our families), I will always cherish the years we worked together as some of the best in my career. This experience taught me a valuable lesson: you never know where your next interaction could take you. It could lead to a lifelong friendship, reveal a new career path, or simply brighten someone's day. #CareerJourney #KindnessMatters #UnexpectedOpportunities #thewayyoutreatpeoplematters

Happy Friday to all of our connections! We've made it through yet another busy week in recruitment💪🏼 Tomorrow, some of our lucky consultants who have worked hard to hit their sales targets are going on their incentive to - Cirque De Soleil at the Royal Albert Hall🥳 Shout out to: Charlie Merry Kane Jones Kirsty Allan Tom Carter Tayla York. Brandon Lines Rhiannon Goodall Rameet Chana Lucky for them, their weekend has been planned for them, but how are you planning on spending your weekend? As a recruiter, it's important to find balance and relaxation outside of the office. Whether it's spending quality time with family and friends, enjoying outdoor activities, or simply taking time for self-care, the weekend offers a chance to recharge and rejuvenate.☺️ Ultimately, the weekend offers an opportunity to press pause, reflect on the past week and prepare for the one ahead. It's important to use this time wisely, whether it's catching up on some well-deserved rest, embarking on new adventures, or simply indulging in the things we love. How do you plan to make the most of your two days off? Let me know in the comments below. 🛌🌟👀 #WeekendVibes #WorkLifeBalance #SelfCare #incentives

Happy work memories help motivate us. When times get rough or we get tired, we look for reassurance on why we do what we do. We also want to know we've made a positive impact. The world of the hoteliers is indeed a different world of its own. To an outsider, everything might seem fun and fine, but those inside it only truly know how things work. The never-ending tasks and races towards meeting deadlines are only tips of the iceberg that the hospitality world holds. And thus, taking a break from the tensions and worries to check on a colleague, and being a part of each others' work and personal lives can strengthen our interactions and quality of work. You’ll never hear an old person on their deathbed say “I wish I had gone to more night clubs.” I don’t believe in work-life balance. I believe work is the second most important part of life, and if your mind is telling you that you need to “balance it” then what it’s really telling you is you’re in the wrong job. Perhaps even the wrong career. On the other hand, there was that one study on old people and their life regrets, and it overwhelmingly found that people’s greatest regrets involved not spending enough time with loved ones. There are different ways to reconcile that with my viewpoint: 1- The majority of people in that survey did not have a career they actually liked, so in hindsight it was all a waste of time. 2- People generally lack the discipline to hold themselves accountable to do the important things (ie. Spending time with loved ones) and they take the path of least resistance (they spend time on the “urgent” things in their job). Thus, in hindsight, they wish they had maxed out their time with loved ones instead of maxing out their time at work. 3 - It’s not at all reconcilable; I’m wrong and when I’m in my deathbed I’ll feel about my job the same way I currently feel about going to night clubs. What say you?

What clicks in your mind each time you hear the word “Hospitality” Food, tips, long shifts, luxury When I first joined the hospitality industry, I thought it was all about the glamorous side—delicious food, generous tips, and the luxury that surrounds you. But soon, I realized hospitality is beyond the fancy things you see. When you have to work long shifts, sometimes you feel like quitting or hating the job for depriving you of your social life. Each time that 4.00 am alarm rings and you don’t know what time you will get back to be with your family. Each time you do a setup for a client and you don’t know whether they will like it or not or request changes. Each time you are about to clock out, last minute booking comes in and you have to stay because you have a job to do. Each time a client cancels a food order because they have to rush somewhere. Each of these moments tested my patience and resilience. Lessons I picked: -Life is unpredictable -Every opportunity you get be kind -Increases your confidence levels -It's an opportunity to learn and improve daily. -Meeting people from all walks of life broadens your understanding Working in hospitality is challenging but incredibly rewarding. It teaches resilience, adaptability, and the importance of kindness. Despite the difficulties, the industry offers unique opportunities for personal and professional growth. PS. Share your misconception about your previous job.

What does working in hospitality mean for me? ( thanks to whoever will take his/her time to read it ) Simple rules to follow: - No matter what your life looks like outside and the problems you have out there.. Just leave them outside your working life - Respect & work well with your coworkers ( not only at the reception, but also with the one at the restaurant & housekeeping department) - There is no “it’s his/her/their fault. We all work as a family. It someone makes a mistake it’s normal. It’s “OUR” fault and we all will work together to fix it - Learn from your mistakes: making a mistake once it’s normal… twice can happen if tired or under pressure.. a third time means you’re making something wrong and/or you misunderstood something The customer is always right but behind the desk you make the rules and that’s why: - Never loose eye contact - Never make them feel you don’t know something or you are not sure about something - Always be calm and never loose patience. You work in the hospitality branche… whoever comes might have had a bad day but it’s your job turning their day in a better one - Try to be always ready for the worst scenario. Like this nothing will catch you unprepared Looking to improve your career?: - You don’t know something? Learn it. It’s impossible to know 100% of everything but it’s more then possible learning everything you don’t know - Focus & try to improve non stop. You can’t be perfect.. but you can improve day by day - Image & self caring is one of the most important rules. Feel good with yourself in order to be 100% focused on your job What about your team?: - Build your team and care about them: you will succeed because your team wins. Not because you win - Learn to know your team, their weaknesses and help them to win them - Treat them all like a family. - No “terrorism” needed. If they do mistakes explain it. No one will learn if you speak louder. #hotel #hospitality #career #teamleader #teambuilding
