My second Question and Answer About The Australian Flag. I will be posting more Q And A in the coming days, stayed tune. If you cannot wait , see it all in the Q&A in my website www.australianflags.au. Q: Our dads, and forefathers fought for the flag , why are you fostering changing the flag? A: Respecting the historical significance of the flag and the sacrifices made by our dads and forefathers is paramount. The consideration for a new flag is not meant to diminish their contributions or the importance of the existing flag. While the current flag holds immense historical value and represents the efforts of those who fought for it, the idea of a new flag is driven by the recognition that a nation, like Australia, is continuously growing and diversifying. The proposed flag seeks to embrace this evolution, past and present. The intent is not to erase history but to create a flag that reflects the diversity of Australia while acknowledging the sacrifices and achievements of those who came before. It aims to foster a sense of inclusion, where every citizen, regardless of background, can see themselves represented in the national symbol. The proposal is a step toward ensuring that the flag continues to be a source of pride and unity, honouring the legacy of our dads and forefathers in the spirit of modern Australia. Australian Indigenous Proposed Flag , one of 4 proposed Flags.

Last week, our team at Rise Consulting was honoured to sit with the Honourable Eugene Creighton from the Kainai Nation to learn more about making Treaty, from a Blackfoot perspective. Honourable Creighton, a Blackfoot language speaker, is a Former Court of King's Bench Judge and is currently Senior Counsel Walsh LLP. At the core of Treaty, there are three core principles: Atsimma’pii, a sacred undertaking that involves Atsimoyisskaan, sacred speech and prayer and Atsimsska’sinni, humble and sacred actions. Sometimes Treaty and peacemaking involves apologies, amends and a commitment to peace, balance and order. Relationships is essential to modern Treaty. These principles also illuminate how broken Treaties, which were made in good faith to share land, avoid war, define land rights and secure Blackfoot consent for settler encroachment have such an impact on trust, fair dealings and advocacy for Indigenous self-determination and sovereignty today. #IndigenousRights #BlackfootCulture #Peacemaking #TraditionalKnowledge #TreatyRights #CulturalPreservation #FirstNations

The International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade solemnly commemorates the millions who suffered and perished during this dark chapter in human history. Dedicated to raising awareness about historical injustices, the day seeks to preserve the memory of these victims. The transatlantic slave trade, spanning several centuries, forced the migration of millions of Africans to the Americas in harsh and inhumane conditions. This day prompts reflection on the enduring impact of slavery, the resilience of those who endured it, and the ongoing struggle against modern-day slavery and discrimination. GSCSW stands united against injustice, honoring the strength of those who endured. Let their stories inspire our commitment to eliminating all forms of modern-day slavery, upholding human dignity, amplifying their voices, learning from the past, and working towards a future grounded in justice, equality, and unity.

United Nations Day is a reminder that we are all in this together, and that we all have more in common than not. When we can peacefully negotiate and cooperate, honoring the needs of our neighbors with generosity and understanding, we all are made better for it. May we always remember the lessons learned by those who went before us, and work together to maintain peace and uphold human dignity. #UnitedNationsDay #GlobalGoals #UNday #internationalrelations #federalsolutions #governmentleaders #governmentmanagement

Today is the UN's International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade. This is a time to raise awareness about the danger of racism, slavery and biased prejudice. A role we at The Athena Advisors take seriously by working with clients who share similar values and like us aim to build a more socially just world. The Transatlantic Slave Trade may have been abolished but its legacy still lingers and millions of individuals whose ancestors were victims of this brutal system are still affected. More importantly, the racist ideological beliefs that underpinned slavery still permeate our world, requiring us to question our prejudices and address our biases.
