In Zambia, 35% of children under five suffer from stunting, impacting their growth and development. Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) recently held a study to evaluate the impact of growth charts and Small Quantity Lipid-Based Nutrient Supplements (SQ-LNS) on child growth. Studies show: 🔬 Small-quantity lipid-based nutrient supplements (SQ-LNS) can significantly boost child growth. SQ-LNS could reduce stunting by 37% and anemia by 26%. 📊 Home-based growth charts help parents track children's development, growth charts offered some benefits but were less effective. SQ-LNS is ready-to-eat food-based supplements that provide energy, protein, fats, and micronutrients - can significantly improve child growth, nutrition, and development outcomes. 🤝 Your support will fuel IPA’s mission to use evidence-based research to drive impactful solutions: https://bit.ly/AUSEOY_ipa
