What an incredible two days at #SlossTech2024! Events like this highlight why Alabama is an exceptional place to call home for innovators and entrepreneurs. Whether you’re a local or visiting from out of town, the connections we made and the stories we heard were truly inspiring. Innovate Alabama was proud to be a presenting partner, providing a platform to educate attendees about the vast array of resources we offer. From the SSBCI launch to student-forward programming and SEEK AL activations, we’re building a community like no other, and we were grateful for the opportunity to showcase how we're supporting entrepreneurs and driving growth in the region. Last week, the MLB Field of Dreams game took place at Rickwood Field, America’s oldest ballpark, right here in Alabama. Leading up to the game, the Innovate Alabama team had the incredible opportunity to listen to MLB Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson as he recounted his experiences with the Birmingham Barons. Innovate Alabama was honored to be part of this historic event and was incredibly inspired by the legacy of Reggie Jackson and the late Willie Mays who paved their own paths in the face of adversity and served as trailblazers for Birmingham. We are looking forward to a future of more incredible opportunities like this for the state of Alabama, honoring our past and building for the future. #InnovateAlabama
