At #Slush2023 and the Dealroom.co Walden Catalyst Ventures Lakestar Sifted ”State of European Deep Tech” presentation. Lots to digest, but to summarize: Europe has a great scientific base to build upon but needs to improve in commercialization and exit possibilities (wake up large corporates!). Also great to see Sweden at the top of the list in deep tech funding. I suspect that there’s one or two outliers involved here though… 😅🇸🇪😬

This was the most impactful event I have attended so far. Initially, I couldn't grasp the concept of the event since it covered various fields like business, AI, local politics, global geopolitics, relationships, and more. However, now I understand its importance. This event gathers the most influential people and ideas that shape and make impact in our lives. With technology developing so rapidly, attending such events is essential to finding our place in this changing world. I won’t make this post long, as the list of participants and shared wisdom was extensive. One piece of wisdom that stands out to me comes from Anne Applebaum: "We are living in a world where what happens in real life is less important than what happens on our screens."
