Debasmita's work gets published in the year end in the International Journal of Geotechnical Engineering (Taylor and Francis). The work is on 'Assessment of p-y response of a laterally loaded single pile embedded in two-layered cohesionless substrata with inclined interface'. https://lnkd.in/g5ThTfm5

In 2021 we (Simon Dickinson, Utkarsh Mital, PhD, Riccardo Fanni, Andy Fourie) wrote the paper "On some uncertainties related to static liquefaction assessments" for a special issue of Geotechnical Engineering (Proceedings of ICE) on tailings risks. The work looked at how assumptions around in situ stresses, and whether Lode angle and principal stress angle should be considered, could have large effects on some forms of static liquefaction assessment. This paper has since become one where we commonly receive "requests for copies" (e.g. via LinkedIn and Researchgate) from our contacts and colleagues. Therefore, we have organised for the paper to be open access - it can now be freely downloaded here: https://lnkd.in/gGJ3TvYY Although a few years have passed since we wrote the paper, in our view many of these uncertainties remain valid. Indeed, we see them come up often in peer reviews of manuscripts and third party reviews. We certainly do not claim to have all the answers to the questions raised in the paper, so are keen to hear the views of others!
