All over the world, conflicts that appear on your newsfeed become forgotten stories all too quickly. In their shadow, a global hunger crisis keeps growing. Conflict can lead to displacement and crippled economies, which directly impact access to food, shelter, and employment. It can lead to government resources being diverted away from food distribution towards military efforts. In the end, conflict leaves millions of children without ENOUGH to eat, without ENOUGH to drink, and without ENOUGH global attention to fuel action that can save their lives. It’s time we say ENOUGH is #ENOUGH. Get more details on how our childhood rescue programs are helping children displaced by conflict:

In humanitarian work, there is a Code of Conduct for the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and NGOs in Disaster Relief. This code ends with the following principle: "Always recognize disaster victims as dignified humans, not hopeless objects within your information, publicity, and advertising activities." Documenting aid could be really humiliating these days. You don't have to document the children taking their school bags if you want them to do so with smiles on their faces. BTW, I prefer the phrasing "Disaster victims are dignified humans, not hopeless objects..." #humanitarianaid #yemen #disasterrelief

#FirstAidSavesLives #ReachEverybody #Preparedness #Yancha There is nothing more unfortunate than to be caught unawares and hence unable to cope with an exigency. The first response is often the most critical and can spell the difference between success and failure. Introduced by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, World First Aid Day is observed on September 9 every year to raise public awareness of how first aid can save lives. First aid should be accessible to all and woven into the fabric of sustainable development. At Yancha, we focus a lot on preparedness and alacrity in youngsters so that they are ready to face any situation with poise and confidence.

Emergencies are an unfortunate reality that can happen anywhere, at any time. When disaster strikes, humanitarian organizations mobilize to assist vulnerable communities, delivering fast and effective responses. Yet, it's not just about reacting to emergencies—it's about empowering local staff and colleagues with the skills to respond effectively. From May 22 to May 30, 2024, the Armenian Branch of the Association “Medecins Sans Frontieres” (Switzerland) hosted an Emergency Response training, joined by delegates from Iran, Kyrgyzstan, and participants from Yerevan Municipality. This training aimed to strengthen participants' capacities in coordinating and implementing emergency interventions. Investing in learning is paramount, and it's highly commendable that Médecins Sans Frontières (Switzerland) is not only responding to emergencies, but also equipping local communities with the knowledge to react effectively. They empower individuals to take charge of their safety and well-being. This proactive approach not only strengthens community resilience but also fosters long-term sustainability in emergency response efforts. Kudos to Médecins Sans Frontières (Switzerland) for their dedication to building capacity and creating lasting positive impact. #InvestInLearning #CommunityEmpowerment #HumanitarianEfforts #MSF
