Introducing the first limited edition vehicle from the Arcane Works Division – the INEOS Grenadier Detour. All 200 Detour models will be hand-finished in the UK using high quality materials from UK-based suppliers including leathers from Bridge of Weir Leather, cashmere from Johnstons of Elgin and unique badging from British jewellers, Vaughtons & WH Darby Group. George Ratcliffe, Commercial Director, INEOS Automotive says, “We chose the Arcane name for our new division because the limited-edition vehicles it creates will be so unique as to be rarely spotted in the wild. Working in small batches and hand finishing the cars means we can give a level of individuality not found in the 4X4 market. The INEOS Grenadier will be the official vehicle partner for New Zealand’s Search and Rescue Dogs Avalanche (SARDA) which operates search and rescue dog teams in alpine environments across most major ski areas and high mountains throughout New Zealand. The 4X4 will be customised to SARDA’s needs using lightweight materials, state-of-the-art fixings and dog kennels to ensure the rescue dogs and equipment are safe and secure during critical missions. The vehicles will also be equipped with a sophisticated WiFi communications hub, ensuring team members always maintain a reliable line of communication with all other emergency rescue crews. Karyn Robertson, National Coordinator of SARDA NZ, added: “Having access to the Grenadiers will make a huge difference to our rescue operations. In the event of an avalanche, the vehicle can deploy handlers and dogs quickly but safely to help sweep the area. Ten selected South African media guests were invited to the heart of the Kruger National Park to experience the Grenadier's Pathfinder GPX way-point navigation system. Staying in a remote, off-grid campsite at Tshokwane River Camp – far away from any cell phone signal – they had to navigate 160 km of recorded paths using only the next way-point and the Grenadier's built-in compass. Upon successfully navigating the route, the media were invited to learn firsthand the ancient art of animal tracking from our partners at Tracker Academy. Just as the wild animals of this region leave footprints and signs for us to discover, Pathfinder records a breadcrumb-style trail for other Grenadiers to follow. Not only did the media complete the tasks set for them, but they also had the privilege of seeing the Big 5 along the way. #INEOSGrenadier #BuiltForMore
