Shifting your mindset can really set you up for success. I have started meditating, praying and engaging in purposeful pre-planning each morning and it has been very helpful. Sometimes those of us carrying full loads must reinvest in ourselves so that we can continue to show up as our best selves in the workplace, at home with family and friends and in the community through our philanthropic efforts. Instead of focusing on the dreadful feelings surrounding looming deadlines try redirecting that thought with something more beneficial to the goal. #mindfullawyer #affirmations #intentionalliving #goaldigger

On the wall of the JFK museum in Hyannis, a powerful reminder resonates: "Civility is not a sign of weakness, and sincerity is always subject to proof." This advice holds true for our National Leaders, especially in our digitally-paced, intensely-scrutinized world. Where has decency gone in our Nation? My parents Janice Bassett and Leon Hudson instilled in me the values of treating everyone with dignity and respect, even in disagreement. The Army further reinforced this principle, emphasizing the importance of respectful interactions. Instead of dictating behavior to those we lead, let's lead by example. This approach seems to be a lost art in today's leadership landscape. #Leadership
