Fun under the sun at the Income Family Day, held in conjunction with the Income Eco Run! ☀️ The morning was filled with bright smiles and laughter as our employees and their loved ones bonded over arts and crafts, exciting stage games, and treasured conversations. Held at the scenic Marina Barrage, our employees and their guests enjoyed one another's company, invoking a sense of connection and camaraderie which we all value in the workplace. As part of championing the zero waste cause, employees were treated to an array of workshops that were all focused on sustainability. From using recycled yarn to make our own coasters, to creating eco-friendly plant pots made from coconut husks, we were introduced to a myriad of do-it-yourself crafts that encourage a more sustainable lifestyle. Many of the attendees, especially the kids, left the event with their handmade mementos which serve as reminders of how every individual can build a more resilient future by contributing in our own little ways. 🧡 Check out the highlights reel to see what went down and remember to follow us on LinkedIn for more buzz!

🌿 Picture this: back in 2019, I embarked on a mission with For Earth's Sake to rewrite the narrative on sustainability. My biggest hurdle? Convincing folks that eco-friendly living isn't reserved for the elite—it's for everyone! As I chatted with customers at the cafe, something magical started to happen. Some were drawn in by curiosity, others by chance overhearing our conversations. Before I knew it, our community was buzzing with discussions on sustainable dining and simple lifestyle tweaks. Each day, it grows a little more, fueled by word of mouth and friendly faces. But here's the kicker: I've come to realize that real change starts with a bigger, more inclusive community. So, here's an open invitation: swing by, say hello, and let's have a chat over coffee. There's still so much to learn and do, but together, we're making waves. Who's in? 🌎☕ #SustainabilityStories #CommunityBuilding #CoffeeChats

Absolutely! Embracing a sustainable lifestyle not only benefits the environment but also contributes to self-reliance in Water (aatmaNEERbharta). Here are some ways we can incorporate eco-friendly practices into our lives while celebrating Holi: Change our LiFEstyle to save Environment: Instead of saving water on Holi only Do it on daily basis. Reawaken, Reduce, Retain, Recharge, Reuse: Practice the five R's to save water. This helps conserve resources and reduces the strain on the environment. Community Engagement: Engage with your community to raise awareness about environmental issues and organize collective efforts. Collective action can lead to positive change on a larger scale. By integrating these sustainable practices into our lifestyle and celebrating Holi with mindfulness towards the environment, we can contribute to a more eco-friendly and self-reliant future for ourselves and generations to come.

A little throwback to 24th Sep, my first ever sustainability-themed sporting event that champions awareness and advocacy of a greener earth; a cause I believe in. As someone who does not enjoy running, it was definitely challenging to finish a 5km route even though most of the time we were just jogging and walking. I was on the brink of giving up and I thought of making a u-turn halfway. But i stop and remind myself what i’m doing this for. This run is more than just about putting my legs to work. This run reminds me that a journey to sustainability starts with me. This run teaches me to honour my words. Whatever distance I’m running for, whatever cause I take pride in, no matter how challenging it is, I shall honour them. It teaches me to persevere; to push through even when my head is telling me not to. So I’m really not a fan of running but i don’t mind going the extra miles (literally) to have a greener earth and environment and I ran for: 1. Good health and well being 2. Sustainable cities and communities 3. Responsible consumption and production 4. Climate action 5. Life below water I joined a few pledge too! 1. I pledge to reduce energy use 2. I pledge to commute sustainably 3. I pledge to shop, eat and drink locally 4. I pledge to donate what I don’t use 5. I pledge to avoid single-use items and fast fashion 6. I pledge to buy second hand 7. I pledge to buy environmentally-friendly health and beauty products Here’s to a more sustainable lifestyle and environment! And thank you to the event organizer for making this happen It was nice to see people gather together over one belief, one cause and making an impact together as a community❤️ #sustainability #greenearth #greatgreenrun #climatechange

🌍 Climate-focused activism can feel overwhelming. 😰 🌲 This is a huge planet we live on. There are so many systems at work, sometimes beyond the easy understanding of scientists, policymakers, agriculturalists, and generally all of us who live here. Having a community to work alongside through tangible and empowering ways is absolutely needed to avoid burnout! Recently, Reclypt energized me and other climate enthusiasts through their monthly Circular Salon. Reclypt achieves this through various means: 👖 Upcycling champions: They showcase the possibilities of upcycling through mending workshops, and demonstrating the beauty and value of repurposed materials. (I learned how to have low-waste Christmas gift wrappings because of their influence!) ✏ Sustainable educators: They raise awareness about the circular economy and its benefits, providing practical tips and inspiring creative solutions to reduce waste. 🤝 Community building: They create spaces for like-minded individuals passionate about being fashionable yet sustainable. You can check out their Instagram account (@reclypt) for regular updates, collaborations, event announcements, and for a boost of energy when surrounded by other awe-inspiring change-makers!

The season of giving is upon us — a time for joy and cheer, gifts and goodwill. But for those of us looking to cut our eco-impact, this time of year can sometimes feel overwhelming. Consumerism and meat-eating fuel waste and excess each holiday season, making the acts of both giving and receiving feel especially fraught with anxiety. One person can’t solve the climate crisis of course, but research from Project Drawdown shows household actions can add up to make a big difference. Still, that doesn’t mean climate anxiety should stop you from celebrating. Rest assured, there are ways to get that festive feeling while limiting your carbon footprint and taking it easy on the planet.
