This abstract, based on a chart review of 79 RefluxStop® patients, was presented by Dr. med. Thorsten Lehmann as a poster at Digestive Disease Week® (DDW) 2024. A study published in the Journal of Neurogastroenterolgy and Motility showed that the fastest growing age group of GERD patients is 30-39 years.¹ It's important to treat symptoms such as heartburn seriously, especially in younger men, as longstanding GERD may progress to diseases such as Barrett's esophagus and esophageal cancer.
