Received a free #PeoplePowered physical book by Jono Bacon last year! Almost 1/3 of the book and if you’re a #community organizer who needs to develop and ramp up your #communityengagement strategy, this book can help you! First step: create your value statement 📝 So what is value and what does it mean for your community and organization? 🤔 “If you are not clear in what value your [community] wants and how you can deliver it quickly and reliably for them, you risk work and failure.” #communityfirst #communitypower

BAME Family support || Bridging the gap between organisations & BAME communities || Over 20 years experience in community and family outreach
I'm excited to share part 2 of the incredible review of "Can You Hear Me?" by Martin Vito, aka King Vito Speaks. Martin continues to highlight the importance of multi-generational conversations sparked by this book. He beautifully explains how "Can You Hear Me?" can open eyes and hearts. Mums might start seeing their children through a new lens, and young people might understand their parents' journey to get here. This book fosters a dialogue where both sides can express their needs with mutual respect and honour. Imagine young people articulating their needs, parents genuinely listening, and communities thriving. It's more than just about jobs or money; it's about the love we share and the support we offer one another. If it takes a village to raise a child, we must ensure that every child feels valued and heard, so they too can contribute to the village. Books like "Can You Hear Me?" provide hope and a platform for these essential conversations. They aren't the final answer but a step towards finding solutions together. Let's keep this dialogue going and build stronger, more understanding communities. 🔗 Order your copy now: https://lnkd.in/en7tbjH5 #CanYouHearMeBook #KingVitoSpeaks #BookReview #MultiGenerationalDialogue #CommunitySupport #PreOrderNow

Something fun! We wrote a children's book that we're providing to the classrooms we help. It introduces children to tech-based problem solving in a fun way. But, we need a little help getting it over the finish line. You can help us out and get a copy here at the link below. The book tells a story about a dog and duck duo, Widget and Zip, who use tech to solve problems their chicken coop faces creatively. They use 3D printers, Raspberry Pi's, and other tools to show that there's more than one way to solve a problem. The book also includes an illustrated glossary that describes the tech and a dedicated resource page with teacher-designed activities the students can work through in the classroom or on their own. Our author and illustrator is Betsy Von Hagen. She's a kindergarten teacher and so full of passion and energy. It was a blast to work with her to develop Widget and Zip and think of neat ways they could solve problems in their chicken coop. https://lnkd.in/gSQKnF3F If you contribute to our launch campaign, you can get an early discounted copy of the book, signed copies, limited edition stickers, a custom doodle from the author, and more. You can also buy a classroom pack or live reading from the author to gift to a teacher you love. Simply put, the more copies of the book we sell through this campaign, the more free copies we can afford to distribute to schools in low-income communities. We appreciate you sharing with your friends and family! https://igg.me/at/rtfbook
Exciting News! The RTF is thrilled to announce that we're publishing a children's book! 📖 Meet Widget and Zip, the dog & duck duo, who solve problems in the coop using technology. Join us in our fundraising campaign to bring this magical story to life!: https://igg.me/at/rtfbook
