🌐 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 Digital health is experiencing a rapid expansion, yet guaranteeing the efficacy and advantages of these solutions demands substantial evidence generation. Here are four pivotal messages outlined in an article by Matthew Prime of Roche: 1️⃣ 𝐄𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐕𝐚𝐫𝐲: There's no one-size-fits-all approach. Medical devices like SaMD require clinical evidence of safety and efficacy, while tools like electronic health records might need data on usability and cost-effectiveness. 2️⃣ 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐃𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐀𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐅𝐢𝐭: Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) are expensive, time-consuming, and may not reflect real-world use. 3️⃣ 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠: Simulation studies, real-world evidence (RWE), and platform trials (PTs) offer more efficient and adaptable ways to evaluate digital health solutions. 4️⃣ 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬: Robust evidence generation builds trust and benefits everyone involved – patients, healthcare providers, and developers. It ensures digital health solutions deliver real-world impact. By prioritizing evidence generation, we can ensure digital health becomes a trusted and valuable tool in transforming healthcare. #digitalhealth #evidencebasedmedicine #innovation #healthcare #patients 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞: https://lnkd.in/e3S-h_Hd

Discover our insightful Health Systems Innovation paper 📑 covering topics around the future of healthcare transformation with systems innovation. Read now: https://lnkd.in/gJewQD5n #HealthInnovation #systemshealthcare #systemsinnovation "The health equation is becoming more complex along many dimensions, in response new thinking, models and approaches to managing health systems from the local to the global are much needed; the same thinking that created the centralized health systems of today will not solve for the problems they have created and this changing context. The health systems of today are a classic illustration of both the achievements and limitations of a reductionist thinking. The analytical approach has made many advancements over the modern era, but with the ever-evolving complexity of today’s health systems linear models that focus on component parts are blinding us to the real systems-level innovations that are needed to move forward."
