Hey guess what? Standard Co is hiring. We're looking for a part time marketing person to help us with our new product, Standard Education (you love the name, don't you). A little more about this. For the past 10 years, Standard Co has *mostly* worked in Global Health. We help organizations ranging from the very big (think WHO, Gates Foundation, etc) to the very small (think NGOs doing amazing work in remote parts of the world) manage their data. This is super fun and rewarding work and we'll always do it. But a year ago, we stumbled into a market that has the same data challenges as global health: Education. For the past year, we've been building and deploying tools to a handful of school districts to help them better understand their students progress *in real time*. There are a bunch of big, burly, entrenched incumbents in the education space and let's be honest. They suck. They're expensive, they don't innovate, and they don't put students first. We want to change that. The product we've built is ready to escape from "beta, word of mouth" mode to something more scalable and to a broader audience.
