I firmly believe that the idea of 'Providing Urban Amenities in Rural Areas' (PURA) put forward by Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, a well-known scientist, and former President of India, is still relevant today. The PURA concept aims to reduce the gap between rural and urban areas by bringing urban facilities and infrastructure to rural areas. This would lead to an improvement in the quality of life and promote rural development. The PURA concept aims to bridge the rural-urban divide by bringing urban facilities and infrastructure to rural areas, thus improving the quality of life, and stimulating rural development. Moreover, the implementation of ‘PURA’ will minimize excessive dependence on a few cities and promote balanced regional development in the country. This picture was captured after the session during my FDP (Fully Residential Faculty Development Program for 15 Weeks) days at IIM Ahmadabad in September 2010.

Science and technology occupies first place in this respect. Artificial Intelligence plays vital role by establishing IT institutions youth will participate in large scale by involving to update and upgrade the knowledge in multi levels will help to sustain and grow. Participants started with exploring the benefits of digital education, including its convenience, flexibility, and cost savings. Simultaneously, some participants raised valid concerns about reduced human interaction, the possibility of digital fatigue, and the persistent issue of technology access disparities. Our collective discussion led us to a compelling solution for the future: a harmonious blend of traditional and digital education. Integrating digital and traditional approaches to education enhances the efficacy of learning, fostering a dynamic and engaging academic environment. It means a lot... fuels me to improvise further so that future batches gain and learn more from the courses I take, such as this one on 'Theory Building' for PhDs wherein I am thankful to the new PhD students of SME, SOLA and CETE at IIT Jodhpur who were very active and came to class pre-reading the material so that classroom could become a space for critical discussion... Gratitude to my mentor - Sankalp Pratap who developed this course at Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli for PhD Freshers and also taught it for initial two batches at School of Management and Entrepreneurship, IIT Jodhpur (at IITJ, it is titled - Literature Review, Theory Building and Publication Process). Then, he passed the baton to me. Thank You Sir! Taking this course has tremendously improved my understanding of Social Science Research in general and Theory Building in particular... The larger point is that rigorous and comprehensive PhD coursework plays key role in developing Scholars and Thought Leaders of future. PhD degree, in addition to studying something in depth, is also about getting a grasp on the 'How of the Research process' as well as understanding the wider literature of the field/area that one is taking plunge into, which can only be achieved through a comprehensive coursework. However, at many institutions today, PhD has been reduced to jumping to a topic and racing to publish quickly without wider reading of the literature/schools of thought in the field/area/discipline that one is entering into.
