An interesting conversation is around the saturation point of padel in a location.
If you look at Spain, where the number of padel courts is higher and still growing, there is still a similar number of people playing the game.
Other examples like in Sweden and Dubai, where the sport has exploded, we are now starting to hear of clubs closing and a lot of talk around the saturation point.
Obviously there will be a point in the population of a city that only a certain number of people will enable a certain number of padel courts to be open. But personally, I think that a lot of this comes down to the education of the player and the coaches. 🎓
To maximise this, you really have to make sure that clubs are teaching their coaches and players well. Additionally, instead of the coaches doing 1-1 sessions, if there are 4-6 players on a court and they are really demonstrating good, organised lessons, this will to help boost the club. 🚀
The clubs doing programmes and off-court organisation really well, are often the clubs that are surviving through these saturated markets.
If you feel like there are a lot of clubs in your area, there may be potential for more padel, but you just need to make sure you have the structure and foundation in place. 🧱
