When multiple design tasks pile up, it's clear: more hands make lighter work, but it doesn’t always mean hiring another internal designer. Designers need extra help and resources to execute quickly. With the right support, marketing teams can rev up the marketing engine and achieve faster, impactful results.

Hiring or joining the swarm of creative visual designers may require a genuine understanding of their work. If you are hiring a Designer for your media stunts or if you’re transitioning to becoming a Brand Designer, here are 4 Characteristics of an effective Visual Designer: Communication Skills (50%): Clear, effective communication with clients and team members. What makes a visual storyteller effective is the ability to transform creative strategy into an output that resonates with the target audience, achieve amiable metrics, and purposefully impact the creative space. Fundamental Knowledge (20%): A deep understanding of design principles and visual aesthetics allows designers to become flexible and rather not be imprisoned to a specific style of their outputs. Creativity requires scalable outputs in an ever-evolving industry space. A great fundamental knowledge will give a designer a path to a wider perspective of every subject. Creativity and Practicality (20%): Ability to innovate while meeting practical design requirements. Is an essential skill to be able to propose a specified visual solution to a specific problem. Achieving project success may also come from surpassing financial, social, and industrial issues. Software Proficiency (10%): Competence in relevant design software for efficient workflow. The last step is to practice sharing only 10% of the whole pie. Tools and software must be utilized to craft an overall approach. However, not all great-looking and highly fabricated outputs can achieve amenable results. Oftentimes simplicity in visual messaging is the ones that achieve campaign success. #DesignSolutions #Creative #GraphicDesign #Communication #HumanResources #Hiring #AdDesign

Leaving a role unfilled for too long can be a costly mistake, in terms of time and money. Offering below-market compensation or combining multiple positions will lead to negative consequences and a massive loss of productivity. As the saying goes, a unicorn is a unicorn and a fairytale doesn't belong in the hiring process. It’s dangerous to leave human capital and human potential out of the equation when vetting talent. #2024hiring #loverecruiting #justhirethem #endanalysisparalysis

LinkedIn Ghostwriter for Lawyers | Creative Director at CONTENDER | Co-Founder of UNrationed | Author of In the Creative Arena
I found an awesome EA by asking for your help. So I’m trying this again. But this time is trickier for a couple reasons: 1. There are far fewer humans with the skills and experience I’m looking for. 2. I’m not 100% clear on what to call this role. The person I’m looking for, might be called a: Brand Designer Creative Director Graphic or UX Designer. I’ve started describing the person we need as a visually oriented creative genius. Whatever that means. 😜 The person we’re looking for needs to be: - versatile - experienced - entrepreneurial and - very good. I’m not including comp details because I could see this need being addressed with an employee, a contractor, or a partnership. What I will say is I believe CONTENDER needs to find this person, and I know they are not cheap. If you or someone you know might be a fit, I’d be happy to hear from you. I share how to apply in the video. Enough out of me. Thanks for the help. 🙏

Building design teams across the ANZ region - Service Design, CX Design, UX Design, UI Design and Content/Conversation Design
When I started design recruitment in Australia, I had 0 designers in my Australian network. I started building a design recruitment function at one of the worst times to be a designer or design recruiter last year. I remember the first design role I placed in Australia. The role was open for 3-months due to some niche requirements and I placed it within 2 weeks without an established network. Where I've discovered I can provide the most value is by helping people who require a niche skillset. ✅ Need a designer with web3 experience? I got you ✅ Need a designer that has got gaming/3D rendering experience? I got you ✅ Need a designer that can also be a front end dev too? I got you ✅ Need a Liam Neeson type approach to recruitment? I got you Drop me a message if you've got some niche requirements for your design team and need an extra hand on deck. hashtag #latitudeit #uxui #productdesign

Senior designers are in high demand, but only a few stand out. Here are 5 insights from leading a design staffing agency: 1. Less demand for researchers, more for strategic roles 2. Requests for specialized roles like “design producers” 3. Tons of applications, but only a few match our criteria 4. More demand for permanent, not contracting roles 5. Most positions are private, and only shared with us A few examples of our previous searches are: - A ResearchOps lead, not a DesignOps lead - System(s) designer specialized in tokens - Head of Design for a 20+ design team - Fractional brand designer for an early-stage startup The market for designers evolves quickly. More specific demands than in 2023. - Many permanent roles - Fewer research roles - Many specific roles Companies want generalists. But select for specialists.
