Wow, can’t believe it’s already been 6 months! 🤩 Here are a few things I've picked up during this exciting journey: 1. Embracing Change: Transitioning between different team dynamics, e-commerce to bricks & mortar marketing, a well-established business vs a startup like Bloc Skincare, has been challenging but incredibly rewarding. 2. Marketing Foundations Matter: It’s been so fun to introduce the team to core marketing principles. Simple campaigns, emails, automation, and brand presence make a huge difference, even if they seem like a no-brainer to marketing brains. 3. Slowing Down (Kind Of): I like moving fast, but sometimes this isn’t always an option, especially with TGA & AHPRA requirements. Big shoutout to Ashley Freeman for being the brains behind navigating these waters and teaching me along the way! 4. Back to the Skin Industry: I’m thrilled to be back in the skin industry, connecting with top experts and reigniting my passion on a whole new level. Grateful for Dr Andrew Freeman, not just as a boss, but as a mentor, leader, and friend. 5. Valuing Open Conversations: Having a safe space for open discussions, sharing perspectives, and being heard, even when views differ, is truly priceless. 6. Proving Doubters Wrong: When someone suggested our website’s Shop space wouldn’t succeed due to market saturation, we doubled our YoY revenue in under 6 months. Challenge accepted and conquered! 7. Lean On Your Resources: It's perfectly okay to ask for help. Most people are not only willing but happy to lend a hand. I'm so incredibly grateful for the amazing people I've met in my marketing lifetime who who continue to support me. Feeling grateful for these experiences and looking forward to what’s next! 🚀

International Business Development Manager at Belkins - #1 Ranked Appointment Setting Agency | TOP-50 Service Companies Globally 2023 by Clutch
Happy Birthday, Belkins 🎉 For the past 5 years, before finally joining the team, I’ve been following on team’s growth and success stories with top-customer leaders around the world. Over the past two months since becoming a part of the Business Development department at Belkins, I have no doubt that 7 years is just a starting point on the way to something immensely massive. After two months of onboarding, being immersed into the company’s culture and first interactions with customers proved to me right that I’m a part of a leading business in appointment setting services. Here are my insights on what makes the team to be such a coherent mechanism: 1. Shared Goals: Our team is united by a common mission - To provide businesses with impactful growth solutions. 2. Communication: Transparent and continuous communication within each department and the absence of micro-management really make a difference in the working environment. 3. Feedback Culture: At Belkins, feedback is a tool for growth. I’m proud to work alongside such bright-minded and intelligent professionals as Margaret Lee (Kashuba), Martha Kruk, and Kseniia Drachuk, who put me in an open, supportive, and ecological environment from day 1. I’m grateful to Michael Maximoff and Vladyslav Podoliako for making things happen and excited to create a world where business growth is no longer a challenge :) Feel free to check our website and recently added Case Studies. Let's collaborate and excel 🙌 💫

Glazier Nation’s Servanthood Award… This Award is for 10 People that try their best to make a Positive Difference in this Industry. They are also the Runner-Ups for the 2023 Advocate of the Year Award that Max Perilstein won. Some of the people on this list are Living Future Hall of Famers. These are educators of the industry. Here are this year’s winners: Sean Farrow- I truly think this man loves glass more than anyone on the planet. Matthew Price- This man here is always looking out for everyone he knows in this industry. Always putting others first. Rodney Harvey- Bound and Determined to see the Glazing Process done right, his work to help regular everyday glaziers with AGMT Certification proves it. Barbara Haaksma - She is an major executive that believes in supporting causes that supports everyone…especially free education. Tom Jackson - I have heard more people say that Tom is the best business person in the industry. Andrew Haring even told me he is a top choice for Advocate of the Year. Jeff Dalaba - The most humble, hard working man I ever met that bleeds good causes. His work with AGMT will forever change the entire industry in time…it already is. To be a Hall of Famer you must move the entire industry in a positive direction. Jenni Chase - One day MyGlassClass will be offered in Tech Colleges across the nation, this will finally have enough glaziers entering the trade that the labor shortage subsides. This woman has put enormous, mind blowing effort into education. Michael Laughlin - I am a non-union glazier. I am happy where I am, but if I was a glazier in the North East I would work for this man. He is extremely humble, thoughtful and represents what American Unions should be. I have never met a man that cared more about his glaziers or glass shops that use the glaziers. He helps oversee the largest glazing hall in the country. He genuinely gives a large amount of effort to better workers of United States. Courtney Little- We have to get serious about the health our planet. This is the number one man that puts his money where his mouth is. John Spelman - I must admit that YKK AP America Inc. is one of my favorite brands. I have deep respect for the leadership of Oliver Stepe. When I met this YKK Sales Rep he had dedicated much of his free time to simply educating the industry however he could. Everyday this man is educating someone with premium fruitful content. No one works harder to build the industry in the general public’s eye. Three Honorable Mentions… 1) A man that hasn’t made this list, but has to be mentioned is Matthew Fox. Matthew Fox’s dedication to Union Training and Glazier Improvement is beyond impressive. 2) FHC Frameless Hardware Company LLC’s commitment to MyGlassClass is worth mentioning. 3) USGlass Magazine® & the LearnGlazing.com have put tremendous effort into promoting education for glaziers. EDUCATION IS VITAL, IT’S HOW WE BETTER THE INDUSTRY FOR THE NEXT GENERATION. David Schwieterman

HONOR UP; HONOR DOWN; HONOR ALL THE WAY AROUND. I heard this saying years ago, and it stuck with me. (The cheesiest statements are always the easiest to remember.) The truth is that the best leaders operate with honor regardless of status. Honor the people you go to—your leaders, mentors, bosses, board members, and so on (honor up!). There is no such thing as a self-made man or self-made woman; we all stand on somebody’s shoulders. So, be thankful for the people who helped you get to where you are today, and let those people know how thankful you are for them. Give them the credit they deserve and serve them with enthusiasm. Honor the people who go to you—your employees, team members, and volunteers (honor down!). Equip them with the skills they need to succeed. Empower them to make decisions. Genuinely want the best for their careers and families. Don’t be intimated that they may outsmart you or surpass your skillset. Publicly praise the people who work hard for you and do a great job. Honor the people you journey alongside—your vendors, subcontractors, coworkers, partners, bystanders, and unexpected visitors (honor all the way around!). Titles come and go, but names last forever. And every interaction you have solidifies your reputation—either good or bad. Here’s the best part: to the ones who honor others, honor comes back tenfold.
