KPTL is pleased to announce the launch of the Amazonia Regenerate Accelerator and Investment Fund, our first Latin American fund focused on the Amazon bioeconomy.
Officially signed yesterday during the 2024 Sustainability Week in Manaus, this initiative was highlighted by Pipeline, o site de negócios do Valor and is supported strategically by the IDB Lab, reinforcing our commitment to innovative solutions that promote sustainable development, biodiversity conservation, and the bioeconomy across seven countries influenced by the Amazon forest — in addition to Brazil, Ecuador, Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Guyana, and Suriname.
With the Amazonia Regenerate Accelerator and Investment Fund, we aim to invest in startups and projects that leverage the rich biodiversity of the Amazon to foster circular economy practices and responsible use of natural resources. This fund seeks to transform the Amazon into a model of sustainable development, aligning economic interests with environmental conservation.
Our commitment to impactful investments is strengthened by this partnership with the IDB Lab, which supports our vision of encouraging businesses that respect and value biodiversity. The fund intends to significantly contribute to climate change mitigation and the preservation of the Amazon's natural resources, benefiting both investors and local communities.
We have dedicated KPTL professionals such as Renato Ramalho, Danilo Z. and Jorge Farfan actively driving this initiative to further KPTL's actions in Latin America. The fund also includes resources from the Natural Capital Lab, an IDB initiative promoting biodiversity. As an individual investor, Denis Minev is also supporting the fund.
