Video: Insulation and fireproof coating inside the smoke exhaust fan room Reference: The setting and fire resistance limit of smoke exhaust pipes should comply with the following regulations, 1ใ The smoke exhaust duct and its connecting components should be able to ensure its structural integrity for 30 minutes continuously at 280 degrees Celsius. 2ใ Horizontal smoke exhaust ducts should be installed inside the suspended ceiling. Its fire resistance limit should not be less than 0.5 hours. If this cannot be achieved, it can also be directly installed indoors, but the fire resistance limit of the pipeline should not be less than one hour. When using the welding nail process for insulation and insulation of galvanized iron sheet air ducts. The number of insulation nails for the air duct should be sufficient per square meter. When using aluminum foil rock wool insulation board: 20 welding nails per square meter or more on the bottom surface of the sealed pipe, 16 or more sides, Top surface is equal to or greater than 10. When using aluminum foil glass wool insulation board or insulation blanket, 16 welding nails per square meter or more on the bottom surface of the sealed pipe, 10 or more sides, 8 or more top surfaces. The insulation and anti-corrosion coating of equipment, components, and valves shall not cover the nameplate or affect the operation function of the components and valves. EQUIPMENTS AND PIPING INSULATION Piping Insulation is required for the purposes of conservation of heat, maintenance of stabilized process temperatures during atmospheric temperature changes, condensation prevention, burn prevention of personnel or limiting noise levels according to the classification nominated. Three types of insulation are required : 1. Cold insulation, 2. Hot Insulation and, 3. Personal Protection. Various types of insulating materials are : 1. Mineral Fibers. 2. Cellular Plastics. 3. Cellular Glass. Design life of insulation is around 25 Years: Burn and Freeze protection insulation required for piping with operating temperature above 54ยฐC or below 10ยฐC. Personal Protection Insulation: Personal protection insulation should be upto 2.1 meters above grade and platform elevation, and 0.6 meters outside the platforms, walkways etc. Fully insulated personal protection is required for lines operating above 200ยฐC. Body and nozzle flanges of Heat transfer equipments shall not be insulated. All piping and equipment operating with fluid temperatures below 27ยฐC shall be insulated for condensation prevention (โanti-sweatโ). Nozzles, components and appurtenances shall be insulated and covered with vapor barrier and weatherproof cladding. Insulation is applied only after weld testing, pressure testing and painting. 1. Polyurethane Insulation is normally used for Cold Service Insulation. 2. Rigid Urethane foam can be used up to 100ยฐC. 3. Calcium Silicate is used as acoustic insulation. 4. Foam glass can be used up to 260ยฐC. 5. Mineral wool insulation can be used upto 500ยฐC. 6. Stainless steel mesh guard at a distance of 32 mm can be used as a Personal Protection. Otherwise Hot or cold insulation can be used.

Tip: Venting Requirements and Proper Piping Material for High-Efficiency Tanks When installing or upgrading the venting system for high-efficiency tanks, adhering to the manufacturer's specifications and local building codes is crucial. Using the correct piping materials and following proper venting requirements ensures safe and efficient operation of the system and components. Avoid using ABS piping for venting high-efficiency tanks. ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) piping is not suitable for this application due to its limited resistance to high temperatures. High-efficiency tanks produce hotter exhaust gases, which can cause ABS piping to deform, warp, or even melt, posing serious safety risks. Instead, opt for piping materials specifically designed for high-temperature applications, such as PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) or CPVC (Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride). These materials offer excellent heat resistance and durability, ensuring proper venting without compromising safety. By using the appropriate piping materials and adhering to venting requirements, you can ensure the optimal performance and safety of high-efficiency tanks, while also avoiding potential hazards associated with improper venting. These 12 chillers serve radomeโs located on a very remote Pacific island communications site. The project has a critical timeline schedule to have these domes operational within just a few months. Maintaining our production schedules and on-time shipment are important. Each dome has two chillers to have full redundancy. Each chiller has integral dual pumps and dual refrigeration circuits. Because the job location is an extreme island environment, corrosion from salt laden air is a primary concern. The chillers include epoxy polymer dip coated condenser coils. All components, piping, and sheet metal will be coated, inside and out, to cover all the main surfaces that could corrode by salt. The coating is a special high resistance coating with 10,000hr salt spray rating. Nuts, bolts, and sheet metal screws are all stainless steel. Fan motors are specifically designed for corrosive environments. In most every way possible, the machines have been built from the ground up to inherently resist corrosion in the most extreme environment. What is the gate valve used for? Gate valve used for isolation of the piping system, also known as isolation valve. Due to the working principle during the operation it will either be in fully closed condition or in fully opened. The main benefit of gate valves in piping systems is to minimize frictional losses. It is not used for throttling purposes, some disadvantages are also there like erosion. It required very little space for installations because of its disc, used in it as a gate. Gate valve used in a straight-through unobstructed pass way, due to the unobstructed pass way it allowed the pig's through inside for cleaning piping systems without dismantling the valve system. It is available in many features on the biases of size, temperature, pressure range and depends on its body design. And as compared to the price of other types of valves its price is slightly lower than others for same size and same pressure ratings.
