The chain's departure highlighted the broader economic and cultural impact of the conflict, as Western businesses reassessed their presence in the region. McDonald's restaurants in Russia were rebranded under local management, altering the landscape of fast food in the country.

In the Russia-Ukraine war, sanitation tactics have become critical due to the widespread destruction of infrastructure and the ensuing public health risks. Key aspects include ensuring clean water supplies, managing waste and debris from damaged buildings, and controlling disease outbreaks in conflict zones and refugee camps. Both sides have also engaged in the destruction or contamination of water sources as a tactic to disrupt civilian life and military operations, exacerbating humanitarian crises. These tactics underscore the severe impact on civilian health and living conditions in the affected areas.

NATO isn't a country
