Why Most Job Seekers Fail: My Journey from Rejection to Helping Thousands Succeed! I joined a Facebook community some years back. This community was for people interested in kickstarting a career in internet marketing. There were mind-blowing opportunities in the group chat, but I realized that fewer than 10 people actually got those opportunities. There were numerous instances where I tried applying for those opportunities, but they all resulted in rejections.🫠 I stopped applying for those opportunities to understand the reason for the consistent rejections. Fast forward to now, I have realized where we all missed it. A group or community was created to provide job opportunities, right? 🤷🏽♂️ That was a very brilliant idea, in my opinion.💡 Job opportunities were provided on a regular basis. However, no one told us how important meeting job requirements was or the best ways to prepare for an interview. In fact, I was entirely clueless about how to impress the recruiters. I submitted one of the worst CVs ever, which contained phrases like “I am a tall and strong male.” 😂 I’m grateful for growth and my experiences so far. No wonder I find myself going the extra mile for people interested in branding their services, revamping their CVs and cover letters, and prepping for interviews. Last year my organization was hiring for my department. I was requested to refer anyone I could, but a maximum of 2. An hour later, I posted the same on my Twitter handle. Before evening, I had already found two, referred them and an interview had been scheduled. At around 7 p.m. the following day, a random job seeker sent me a private message regarding the same closed opening. She had also attached her CV. Well, I told her it had already been filled. However, we had a light chat thereafter regarding future openings. As we were chatting, I decided to go through her resume. I realize she had included her sensitive personal details like ID number & date of birth. Also, she had a few other areas that needed corrections to make it ATS-friendly. I suggested them. A week later, she had made the adjustments. We kept communicating, once in a while. I would send her openings I came across that I felt she was best suited for. Two months later, she attended 4 interviews and got successful in one. Surprisingly, she got hired for a much better role than what she had been looking for. Do you see the genesis of everything? Not ghosting Irregardless. Dear everyone, If the role is no longer available, at least send a message of hope and appreciation. Wish them well. Help if you can. Let the candidate know they weren't successful at that time because of 1,2,3... LinkedIn, can you please add a feature that will tell the recruiter how long ago a candidate changed their settings to “Open to work” while we search in LinkedIn Recruiter? Was it 2 weeks ago or 6 years ago?? 🤔 I am not talking about the green banner, but the Recruiters only setting we can see with the LinkedIn Recruiters upgrade. 📢 Candidates: If you find a job or are no longer looking for a new position, make sure to check your settings. 🙏 Go to your profile ➡ Click the "Open" button under your profile picture ➡ on the bottom you can see if your open-to-work visibility is set to “Recruiter only” or “All LinkedIn members” -------------------------------------------- 🔔 Follow me for more posts (& memes) about #recruiting #humanresources #jobsearch

Good morning LinkedIn ☀️ This message is for the recruiters and job seekers Recruiters when you put that little #hiring banner under your profile, are you really hiring?. I have sent countless inbox messages, and only 2 people would respond over the time span of 5 months. What’s the point of creating these connections if you won’t connect with potential candidates. It hurts even more when your posting and being active on the app, we know you see and ignore our desperate cry for work. The frustration for new grads is absolutely wild. It’s okay if I’m not qualified for the position but a simple reply and chat would’ve potentially created a connection for a life time, and could open doors for candidates, if you don’t have a job in mind for us, it’s okay, but please stop ignoring our interests in your companies!. Let’s bring back the purpose of this app and stop ignoring your candidates interest. Who agrees?

Hiring Managers are not looking at applications - after 10 irrelevant candidates they’ve checked out. It’s too much hard work and time consuming when 99% are not relevant.
