A Russian court has issued an arrest warrant for Yulia Navalnaya, wife of the late opposition leader Alexei Navalny. Russian authorities should end their harassment and abuse against Navalny's supporters and political and human rights activists.

1/As a steadfast activist advocating for human rights in my homeland, I have slowly become a target of those who wish to suppress such noble pursuits. For context, my involvement in activism began after witnessing the atrocities of a civil war that pitted against each other communities that once lived in harmony. Regrettably though, my actions met with severe consequences, as I was unjustly dismissed from my job and subsequently arrested. Matters escalated further when I was invited to the acting Prime Minister's office in May 2019. His coercive insistence on my need to subdue my activism on social media and to maintain a low profile was outrightly intimidating 😨. Unyielding in my conviction, I declined his proposal, which consequently, put my life in jeopardy. I found refuge in the neighboring country, living as a political refugee under the protections of UNHCR/ETHIOPIA 🏞️. During this trying period of three years, I endeavored to persuade my community about the futility of civil war and stressed on the importance of peaceful coexistence. Unfortunately, my stance did not resonate with the Ethiopian Federal Defense Minister who, displeased with my activities, arrested me with the intention of deporting me to my homeland.

2/ Throughout my stay in Ethiopia, I was subjected to physical assault and regular assassination attempts. The UNHCR protection unit, rather than upholding its responsibility, suggested I relocate by myself , asserting it couldn't assist further ✈️. My family too has been affected gravely in this struggle. My wife, who was six months pregnant at the time, as well as my children, were victims of violent assault by the federal army in our home 👪. Intimidated by the growing threats, my two underage children and I made our way to Sudan. There we faced insurmountable challenges, becoming targets of human trafficking and various other perils 🏜️. This case is known by #MamadouDianBalde acting regional director of UNHCR, who was Representative of UNHCR in Ethiopia at that time but unfortunately decided to keep silence instead of upholding his part. So failed to assist person in danger.

Putin and the kremlin NEED to create a narrative for the Russian people that supports Putin staying in power. You can expect anything he does will be in continuance of that goal. Ultimately the Russian people need to usurp Stalin 2.0 themselves, Putin knows this thus the extreme efforts and misinformation campaigns the Kremlin undertakes. Sadly Russia is a conduit for Putin to erode the well being of the world. Russia can be so much more but only when Putin is gone, that will be his legacy for the Russian people.
