Everyone loves an audit 😅 And the process for ISO 14001 involves several stages and activities to assess your organisation's compliance with the Environmental Management System standard. (Note: The specific details and requirements of the audit process may vary depending on the certification body and the organisation's circumstances.) Our services can help you with ISO 14001 because one of the key components to the certification is continual improvement in your environmental management system. That might be through: ☞ Implementing a register for staff that are trained in spill response and a check on the validity of their certification to make sure they have adequate response capabilities ☞ Rolling out a monthly spill kit audit to reduce the chances of having a spill and not having the right kit to respond available ☞ Installing a separator alarm to reduce the number of tankers coming to site to empty separators that don’t need emptying thus reducing carbon footprint and saving money ☞Having a site survey undertaken to identify all potential pollution risks ☞And many more! We’d love to hear your experience of the audit process. Do you have any top tips? Leave a comment.
