Today the Alliance released its 18th Community Checkup Report, offering a trusted, comprehensive view into the quality and cost of health care in Washington with an emphasis on equity. This year, we brought together our analyses on equity into one report to show how where you live in Washington impacts the quality and cost of care you receive. New for 2024, we released a blending tool that allows users to rank medical groups, counties and Accountable Communities of Health based on preference toward quality or cost. We have also updated all our scores for dozens of performance measures and refreshed our highlights from Variations in Health Care Quality to Total Cost of Care with the latest data. We encourage you to share this information and join the conversation as we work to catalyze change in the health care system to ensure all Washingtonians receive high-quality care that is equitable, accessible, and affordable. The report and six highlights can be found at wacommunitycheckup.org. #costofcare #wahealth #healthcare #healthcaretransparency #healthcareequity

Building THE platform for healthcare professionals to collaborate, communicate, innovate and make the world a healthier place TOGETHER at ZNA. JOIN the movement to transform the healthcare system from WITHIN!
What would a community-led healthcare system look like? 🤔 What if we brought community leaders to the table and let then set healthcare priorities? Imagine a healthcare system where we had authentic community engagement and leadership to address the issues that are important to the people we're serving. Social determinants of health such as housing, food, transportation and safety are upstream determinants of health. By prioritizing what the communities we're serving need, we can have a much bigger impact on the health of our communities. Its time to change where we're investing healthcare dollars and putting our communities in the driver's seat in order to create substantial and sustainable positive health outcomes. Let me know what you think in the comments! #communityledhealthcare #socialdeterminantsofhealth

Just last week, we celebrated the global commitment to #UHC, but the reality of navigating the roads to rural health centers is a tangible reminder of the obstacles many communities face in accessing essential healthcare. This picture captures a moment from one of my many journeys to rural health centres, it serves as a stark reminder of the challenges many face just to access basic healthcare. While we've made strides towards UHC, barriers like poor infrastructure and transportation difficulties persist. We were able to pull through, thanks to the amazing help of community. With determination, they pushed alongside us, reminding us that UHC is not a destination, but a journey. It's not about pronouncements, it’s about deliberate action to ensuring equitable healthcare for all. Every poor terrain navigated, every kilometre covered, reinforces my commitment to Universal Health Coverage. It is a commitment to leaving no one behind and ensuring that health services reach even the most remote corners of our communities. So, as the mud dries and the car carries on, I refuse to celebrate prematurely. Instead, I recommit to the grind, to the collective effort of pushing and pulling, of raising awareness and demanding resources. Because UHC is not just a slogan; it's a promise we must fulfill. #UHCForAll #NoOneLeftBehind #RuralHealth #YouthLeadershipInHealth

PANOW is committed to continued implementation of the Oregon State Health Improvement Plan, called #healthiertogetheroregon. The plan, which wraps up next year in 2024, has already made significant strides in reducing institutional bias; addressing adversity, trauma, and toxic stress; increasing access to behavioral health care; bolstering the economic drivers of health; and increasing access to equitable preventive health care. Sixty-two strategies across five priorities comprehensively address health inequity, both upstream and downstream. It has been an honor to collaborate on increasing #healthequity with our health system partners (Adventist Health Portland, Kaiser Permanente, Legacy Health, Oregon Health & Science University, and Providence Health & Services), Oregon Health Authority, and other funders to craft programs - such as Donated Care and Insurance Enrollment & Payment Support - that break down the barriers to health care access. Check out https://lnkd.in/e-r-XuM to learn more about the plan and be on the lookout for the new plan in 2025!
