🎄🎅 ☃️ It’s true! I have written some Christmas songs… (is it too early for festive music as it is not even December yet!?) . The songs were written and recorded over the last 11 months, as a personal project in an attempt trying to stretch my creativity and get out of my comfort zone. I find setting myself extra-curricular creative hobby-challenges is a great way to keep myself “match fit” for professional briefs. Does anyone else do anything similar? If so, I’d love to know what your projects are… . The “brief” I set myself was in response to the miserable state of Christmas music over the last few years, (most notably the depressing domination of the charts by the likes of Ladbaby - who fortunately recently revealed are not releasing a song this year.) The project was a bit of an experiment as I attempted to bottle the essence of the classic Christmas songs of the past in terms of the structure, lyrics, instrumentation etc. I may not have managed that, but I hope I have made something catchy and with a bit of a nostalgic feel. What do you think? . Huge shout out to my friend and genius animator Ed Hartwell who created all the artwork and the music video for the song, using the latest AI technology. Essentially he asked AI to recreate scenes from a classic Victorian Christmas, with some fascinating (and slightly disturbing) results. I do free piano lessons, the intent is to trick the brain to allow the pianist to unfold. The pianist is the owner of the brain. The modalities of the awakened pianist is courage, neutrality, willingness, acceptance, reason, love, joy, and peace, thus triggering the spirit of enthusiasm. There are many ways for consciousness to flow freely through creative doing, if you look at what causes resistance is their tendency to regulate instead of self regulate into flow. These two artist are flowing freely, thus we are able to see the righteous and justice of being internally free. I am fascinated by the laws that governs flow. Giving piano lessons is not about piano lessons, it is about being able to understand the wisdom of patterns, sensing patterns by seeing contradictions and searching for non contradictory meanings in life.
