As I have taken time over the past few weeks to reflect on my time with HOSA-Future Health Professionals, the best descriptor I have for my experience is gratitude. It is without a doubt that I am better leader and health professional because of the foundational training I received as a health science student and HOSA member. It has been an absolute joy and honor to serve the organization at all levels over the past 20 years, including most recently as HOSA’s Executive Director. I have full confidence in the future and upward trajectory of HOSA as it becomes less of a best kept secret and sees its full potential as a key solution to the healthcare workforce crisis. I could not think of a better way to conclude my tenure than at the HOSA International Leadership Conference where I was humbled to receive Honorary Life Membership alongside my colleague and friend, Marcus D. Henderson, MSN, RN The 2024-2025 theme of Powered by People could not be more fitting. Whether an advisor, alumni, fellow member, Health Science CTE leader, or industry partner, it is the people who make HOSA such an incredible organization. I look forward to now watching its continued success back on the industry side while providing our young family better geographic opportunity to be raised with family. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to my journey. Your kindness and support truly mean the world to me!
