TIP: Use the three layer rule to stay warm. Wearing multiple layers, typically three, will help to insulate your body heat and stay warm. Your torso is the most important area to keep warm as your organs are located in this region. Warm air gets trapped between each piece of fabric and as a result, this air prevents the flow of heat from our body to the cold surroundings as air is a bad conductor of heat. To dress for cold weather, you need three layers to work in concert for maximum warmth. Base layer (underwear layer): wicks sweat off your skin. Middle layer (insulating layer): retains body heat to protect you from the cold. Outer layer (shell layer): shields you from wind and rain. This 3 layer rule for winter is versatile and offers optimal insulation. Share this tip with your friends and stay hydrated this winter! 😉 ❄️💧💦 #brrr #coldweather #winter #hydration #stayhydrated #hydrationtips #ThunderbirdSpiritWater

Know Which Dryer Setting To Pick The words “normal” or “regular” can be extremely misleading when it comes to dryer settings. These modes actually offer the highest heat, which shouldn’t be used in most cases; only heavy items like towels and jeans thrive at this temperature level.

Winter can be tough, especially for us semi-truck drivers out on the road. Here are some tips to help you stay warm while sleeping in your truck during those cold nights: 1. Layer up: Wear thermal clothing to trap warmth and prevent heat loss. 2. Invest in a good sleeping bag: Choose a high-quality, cold-weather sleeping bag to keep you snug and cozy. 3. Use insulation: Cover windows with insulated curtains or foam board to minimize heat loss. 4. Maintain your engine: Running your truck's engine periodically can provide heat and keep the cab warm. 5. Stay fueled: Pack warm, non-perishable foods and hot beverages to keep your body warm from the inside. Remember, staying warm in winter is not just about comfort, but also about safety. Drive safe, and keep warm out there! ❄️🚛 #TruckersLife #WinterTips #StayWarmOnTheRoad

Old Man Winter finally decided to show up! With snow, snow, and snow in the forecast, let's chat about what to do when those flakes start falling. Wear Proper Layers 🧣 - Inner Layer: Wear fabrics that will hold more body heat and don’t absorb moisture. Wool, silk, or polypropylene will hold more body heat than cotton. - Insulation Layer: An insulation layer will help you retain heat by trapping air close to your body. Natural fibers, like wool, goose down, or fleece work best. - Outer Layer: The outermost layer helps protect you from wind, rain, and snow. It should be tightly woven, preferably water and wind-resistant, to reduce loss of body heat. Snow Removal Tips ❄️ Don’t overdo it. Take frequent breaks to catch your breath and drink water. Shoveling snow is a cardiovascular exercise that involves muscles in your legs, back, core, shoulders, and arms. Pushing a snow blower around is equally hard work. Either way, you need to hydrate as you would before, during, and after a gym workout. As for the proper technique, stop us if you have heard this before, “lift with your legs, not with your back." Stay safe and warm out there folks! #SLCo #WinterReady #Snow
