The latest fund advances the company's mission to finance the shift towards a regenerative and sustainable future. 🌊The AgriFood Fund II plans to invest in up to 50 startups within the coming 5 years. Scaling impactful solutions by leveraging emerging technologies and new business models that improve our food supply system from soil and ocean to gut. 🌀Rockstart’s funding actively pursues investments in regenerative solutions aimed at revitalising our soils and oceans into effective CO2 capture sources. The Juicero Dream: Fresh Juice at Your Fingertips Juicero, a Silicon Valley startup, had a lofty vision: revolutionize the world of juicing and healthy living. Their pièce de résistance? A sleek, internet-connected juicer with a jaw-dropping price tag of $399. It promised to deliver farm-to-glass juice with just the push of a button. The catch? You needed their proprietary "Produce Packs," and oh, you better be ready to pay for those too. At first, Juicero seemed like a fresh idea, excuse the pun. It addressed the universal desire for healthy, preservative-free juices without the kitchen chaos associated with traditional juicing. Investors were so enamored by the idea that they poured over $120 million into this venture.
