Our Restore Harrow Green Laboratory Services team are leading the way in sustainability in the laboratory relocation industry! In the past 3 months we have collected 646 pieces of laboratory equipment from customers across the UK. These items have a combined weight of approximately 25 tonnes and could have ended up in WEEE waste / recycling, or been stored taking up valuable lab space. However, these items have been removed by our teams, cleaned and refurbished, and are currently being resold. So far, out of the 646 items, 214 items have been resold, with revenue generated being returned back to our customers. This equates to 19,227 CO2e saving from recycling to reuse, which is the equivalent of: 9 cars being taken off the road a year and planting 320 urban trees. When all of the 646 items have been resold, this will be a 68,127 CO2e saving. We have also been able to collect a lot of these items using our electric vehicles!
