Last night we closed out day 3 of the #StopStigmaTogetherConference. We had some amazing speakers and celebrated partnerships. We left with a key piece of advice echoed through the week: "Operate from a state of empathy" Apolo Anton Ohno, U.S. Olympian. Thank you to all attendees!

Many of us work tirelessly on various platforms to spread the truth and promote understanding abroad about the situation in Israel. One of them is our alumnus Yoav Bruck יואב ברוק, the owner of “Istta Sport ltd “, a Tel Aviv University's alumnus from the Faculty of Management and a three-time Israeli Olympian. Yoav was featured in a special interview with Inside with Brett Hawke, where he discussed the current situation in Israel, what Israel does for defense, and why it cannot afford to lose. He explains that there is no right or wrong side in this situation and shares his hope to the future. To watch the full interview in English, click here >> https://lnkd.in/dGArJ6sh

Here for it all 🙌🏼 The uniting spirit of sport 🙌🏼 What can corporate Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Capability and Culture teams take out of developing, training, growing and maintaining great individual contributors to being great, inspiring and productive teams? How can we dig a little deeper beyond the obvious synergies between athlete and team sport management and corporate development programs? #strongertogether #digalittledeeper #talentmanagementstrategy #talentacquisiton #amabokke
The lyrics of the song, sung in isiXhosa, convey a powerful message of breaking down preconceptions and embracing the true spirit of the Springboks. I am truly inspired by the words that remind us that those who have never experienced the magic of the team have never truly seen them in action. The song not only pays homage to our rich cultural heritage but also serves as a unifying force that brings together people from all walks of life. It is a celebration of our national identity and a reminder of the indomitable spirit that makes us proudly South African. It also reminds me that in a world filled with noise and complexity, there exists an ancient concept known as Mushin, or "beginner's mind," which invites you to embark on a journey of self-discovery and tap into your true potential. At its core, Mushin is a state of mind that transcends preconceptions and judgments. It is the state of approaching every situation with a fresh perspective, unburdened by past knowledge or assumptions. So, in the spirit of World Cup Rugby and self-discovery, let's embrace the power of Mushin and together, let us embark on a path of enlightened leadership that transcends boundaries and propels us toward extraordinary success. “YiBokke lena, yiBokke le Abangaziyo, abazange bayibona YiBokke lena, yiBokke le Abamaziyo, abazange bayibona Abazange bayibona “

𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝟭 (𝗣𝟭): “2024 is poised to be a pivotal year for us.” 𝘗𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯 2 (𝘗2): “Absolutely. I believe we can surpass the two-figure mark this year.” 𝗣𝟭: “Only a two-figure mark? Hey ‘P2,’ which political party are you supporting?” 𝙿̲𝚎̲𝚛̲𝚜̲𝚘̲̲ ̲𝟹̲ ̲(̲𝙿̲𝟹̲)̲: “Ah, you’re discussing the general elections of 2024. But let’s not forget about the upcoming ISRO mission featuring the uncrewed female humanoid robot ‘Vyommitra.’ Scheduled for the third quarter of this year, its success propels us closer to our grand ambition—the manned mission ‘Gaganyaan,’ slated for launch next year.” 𝘗2: “Following the successful Gaganyaan mission, India will proudly join the ranks of countries sending crewed missions into space. Australian triple jumper Ian Campbell has an amazing story that contains some important lessons for aspiring athletes and anyone facing competition. Here are some highlights from his work and experiences: 1.Courage and Endurance: Ian Campbell's work, particularly his experience at the 1980 Moscow Olympics, demonstrates the importance of courage. Campbell continues to compete at a high level despite facing a decision issue that could cost him his gold medal. 2.Focus on Preparations: Campbell prepared well for the 1980 Olympics, acing many preliminaries and representing Washington State University on the US College Tour. His intense preparation and consistent performance ahead of the Olympics underscores the importance of adequate preparation and training. 3.Learning from failure: After losing at the Olympics, Campbell continued competing until an injury forced him to retire early. His career shows that setbacks are part of the athlete's journey, whether due to injury or other circumstances. Learning and growing from these experiences is the key to long-term success. Ian Campbell's work teaches lessons in perseverance, planning, problem solving, learning from failure, and maintaining integrity. These principles are important not only for athletes, but for everyone trying to overcome difficulties and achieve their goals. #IIMSHILLONG #PGPEX

Firsts are for the the brave. The bold. The visionary. Up until 1998, female professional boxing was illegal in the UK. Even after it was legalized, lack of access to funding and support kept many from competing. Simply by taking the ring, Nicola Adams shattered perceptions of who is allowed to compete and succeed in sport—becoming the first female boxer to win Olympic gold. 🥊🥇 As the Worldwide Management Consulting Partner of the International Olympic Committee – IOC, we’re using our global scale, deep insights, and understanding of innovation to track the impact of firsts that have happened at the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Sharing my journey of finding Truth, Love and Surrender | Building the HR Operating Engine @ Prudential
It took more than 1,000 years to build Rome. I'm certain that the Romans didn’t wait for 1,000 years to achieve their goal, before having fun. They built something every day, but they also engaged in riding, fencing, wrestling, swimming, theatre, and watching gladiator matches. So why do we, in today's age, focus on constantly working without breaks? Why is it normalised to always be on our work phones? Yes, some of our roles require us to check in more frequently than others (even on weekends), but it doesn’t have to be all the time! Transformations or any meaningful feats take a long period to accomplish. It's easy to run out of steam on this long journey. Here is the thing - Don't be so serious. Start building. Lay a brick, connect a pipe, while holding fast to the grand vision of the Colosseum in your mind. But smile and have fun along the way. Pause. Play! #Jamesclear said – Whoever is having the most fun is going to win. :) So, as much as the HR LT team at #Prudential worked for many days to align, prioritise and build our roadmap, to move the big rocks up the mountain in order to deliver the #NextHR, we also paused for humour, compassion, and to lean into our values, our #PruWays! #we_succeed_together We are #Prudential.
