Told us again nothing 300 new planners is 1.36% increase on the 22,000 in place. Just watch them plough over local concerns and I am seeing all ready them saying everything is the fault of the previous gvt.

Clearly the skill gap is the first source of 'problem solving' and then how many additional immigration is allowed. Bill Clinton set out the same policy on his election, and house building boomed from a source of affordable labour. What HMG must tell people is unless significant new immigration; (a) you won't be able to afford the new property (only built if it can be sold), and (b) if affordable homes are imputed, land values drop, and secondary trade develops until (a) becomes available at the right price. Thankfully our new Chancellor is a knowledgeable politician and will understand all this and put in place direction, or new towns or wait for the market and the right price... Exciting future beckons...

I hope she is keeping the Green belts in the Home Counties . It would be be best to build the new houses on a circumference with a radius of 70 miles from Charing Cross . It would spread the housing more thinly . More housing in a metropolis would reduce greenery , & would congested public & private transport . The working classes do not want more slums .

Also investigating all the abandoned and empty houses and buildings around the UK hopefully? Refurbishment is much easier and quicker than building from scratch...

The Communities will need more transport projects .
