In Geneva....HUGE amount of history here set the stage for so much of the modern Faith Driven Entrepreneur movement. Reuben Coulter walks us through this history from the very blocks of pavement that John Calvin and others walked on as they came from the marketplace (Calvin was an attorney) to worship God in this chapel.
Such a great city with so much history and so beautiful. Also across the lake, up in the mountains, is Francis Schaeffer's L'Abri. My visit there 20 years ago was a formative experience, filled with cherished memories that continue to inspire me.

The good physician treats the disease, the great physician treats the patient who has the disease.
Pretty unconventionally useful data viz that shows all the following:
➡️ What proportion of the state residents were born-and-raised staters (some assumptions here)
➡️ What's the recent trend in inflow/outflows to the states.
➡️ Historic trends for each state, some even back from 1850(!) it seems.
All in one graph without overwhelming the viewers. It leverages geographical location to orient users too.
Unexpectedly solid data viz!

Is it possible for Christians to really relate to Jewish people? Here are three ways that Christians can lovingly relate to Jewish people without compromising the truth about their Messiah Jesus. https://lnkd.in/gYEFzctp

Whose HIStory is being told?
For those professing "Allyship" kindly explore, the narrative we have been fed to undermine people of colour for centuries. Then speak up and out on our behalf to assist in a meaningful sustainable change process.
Remember, the story told by the hunter, is very different from that of the prey.
If we are to really ever have: Equity, Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity. Then, we need to have real uncomfortable conversations. We need to allot meaningful, time, money, effort and the willingness to reset one's mind to basic natural and moral laws. Where critical thinking involves the use of the mind, heart, gut and faith walk.
Moreover, we need to be willing to be open to conduct role reversal exercises. This will enable us to really see the level of systemic and institutional racism very much alive today.
EDI, requires a quantum paradigm shift. Commencing in the mindset and altering : attitude, behaviours, conduct and lifestyle choices.
Have you ever, taken the time to ponder. Why are people including children and elderly people around the world being paid literally peanut income for back breaking work in hazardous working conditions from morning till night, with poor sanitation, no health and safety standards, no advocacy, living in 'accommodation' not fit for human habitation. Yet, their blood, sweat and tears... props up the lifestyle of the global South and other "advanced", countries. Why is environmental racism occuring, where waste is being dumped in poor countries, causing toxic conditions, impacting those people's lives. Where is the EDI, Human Rights in all of this?
It is also important to highlight, that we need to appreciate that as we evolve into an Artificial Intelligence, machine learning age. Racist algorithmic profiling is a real risk!
So if EDI, really will exist in a pure form. Then work has to commence now!

Passionate about seeing the Alkebulan of my dream emerge. I am unapologetically African. We are building the Emerging Alkebulan. Titles don't matter. Disrupting the status quo. Thought provoker. Pan African to the core.
Don't turn a blind eye to the true history of the empire. We must acknowledge the impact it had on our ancestors and our continent. While George the best declined an honour, many of us are willing to accept it just to be accepted and acknowledged in the hegemonic systems.
"Don't allow them to use you to whitewash the empire" profound words.
If we don't respect ourselves no one will respect us.
Let's rise, Alkebulans, and demand the dignity and self-respect we deserve.

Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin had a significant and collaborative relationship, especially during the American Revolution. Both were key figures in the founding of the United States and contributed greatly to its independence and early governance.
Continental Congress: They worked together in the Continental Congress, particularly in drafting and advocating for the Declaration of Independence. Jefferson was the principal author of the document, while Franklin provided crucial edits and support.
Diplomatic Missions: Both served as diplomats in France. Franklin was already in France when Jefferson arrived in 1784 to assist with negotiations and strengthen the alliance with France, which was vital for the American Revolutionary cause.
Mutual Respect: They held each other in high regard. Jefferson admired Franklin’s scientific achievements and diplomatic skills, while Franklin appreciated Jefferson's intellect and political insight.
Philosophical Alignment: Both shared Enlightenment ideals, emphasizing reason, science, and individual rights, which heavily influenced their political beliefs and contributions to the foundation of the United States.
Their collaboration and shared vision were instrumental in shaping the nascent United States, both in terms of its independence and its foundational principles.
As Nelson Mandela wisely said, "You can’t separate peace from freedom, because no one can be at peace unless he has his freedom."
Let's reflect on these words and consider how true peace flourishes hand in hand with personal and collective freedoms.
