My family and I are thriving, primarily because I was my own advocate. The VA medical treatment here in Indianapolis has been outstanding; our VSOs here in the area are very active; and the companies actively seeking out veterans for hire. I do think we can do better in terms of helping transition from their last duty station to these communities. Is there not a way we could help our veterans and communities connect before they ETS/EAS. LinkedIn is great, but we need to find ways to connect communities in real life.
