Happy International Kissing Day! Did you know that kissing involves as many as 34 facial muscles and 112 postural muscles? It also triggers a cascade of of biological responses in our bodies. When we kiss, our brains release a cocktail of chemicals like dopamine, oxytocin, and serotonin, which boost our mood, deepen our bonds, and even reduce stress. But kissing isn't just about emotional and chemical reactions - it's also about the sensory experience. The touch of lips, the warmth, and the subtle pressure all contribute to a haptic experience that our brains process. That brings us to an exciting parallel: the haptic sensation you get from touching a finely embellished product. When you run your fingers over it, you experience a tactile response similar to the one your body feels during a kiss. The sample featured below perfectly captures the essence of a kiss.
