It was a great day of training with DuPont ArmorWall and the project team for "The Alice," a 125 unit apartment building currently under construction at 365 Terhune Road in Princeton. Two important aspects differentiate The Alice from most other ArmorWall projects: First, the project is being built to Passiv Haus standards and is essentially a prototype building envelope for future multi-family projects.  Second, The Alice is a Type V building. It speaks to the level of investment the WinnCompanies is willing to make for the best possible facade by using ArmorWall instead of a structural insulated sheathing made of ingredients that while inferior, are allowable under the Code. Due to the flexibility of the building construction type certain money saving techniques were available to the architects and contractors to bring both the materials and labor into budget (message me for details).
