At HESTA, we believe reconciliation is essential to helping our members, and all communities across Australia, look forward to an equitable future. We acknowledge National Reconciliation Week, which marks one year since launching our 2023-25 Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan. We’re proud to be founding supporters of the Dhawura Ngilan Business and Investor Initiative. The initiative which launched this year, offers comprehensive guidelines and resources for businesses and investors, promoting respectful partnerships with First Nations Peoples. This can help improve long-term shareholder value and better retirement outcomes for our members. We’ve also partnered with educational institutions to provide scholarships for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students pursuing careers in health and community services, supporting the next generation of First Nations professionals. We remain committed to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, particularly those working in the health and community services sector, and strengthening our relationships with First Nations communities. HESTA acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of all the Lands, Seas and Waters on which we come together. We pay our respects to Elders, past and present. #NationalReconciliationWeek #NRW2024 #HESTASuper

It's National Reconciliation Week This week is a time for all Australians to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. Reconciliation must live in the hearts, minds and actions of all Australians as we move forward, creating a nation strengthened by respectful relationships between the wider Australian community, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We all have a role to play when it comes to reconciliation, and in playing our part we collectively build relationships and communities that value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures, and futures. Take a moment to think, how can we work together for a better future? Now more than ever we need connection. We need respect. We need action. And we need change. In alignment with Reconciliation Week, the Wunan Foundation, with support from the WA Primary Health Alliance, has launched our ‘Aboriginal Cultural Safety Framework’ to embed cultural safety practices throughout the organisation: https://lnkd.in/gGTyU_Tn #ReconciliationWeek #EmbraceEducateEmpower #NRW2024
