It’s Friday, so let’s keep this short, shall we? Did you know “Come as you are” is the slogan for McDonald’s France, inspired by the song from Nirvana? McDonald’s uses it to prioritize people over products. What does it mean to you? To me, it signifies inclusivity and acceptance for all. Everyone is welcome, regardless of their differences. How do you promote belonging in your business or life? How crucial is belonging in your relationships? Let’s create spaces where everyone feels they belong. #Belonging #Inclusivity #Diversity #Acceptance #Community I understand the deep feelings of not belonging in an organisation, in a culture or country or in a relationship; if this is you today, let's talk now!

I have an owner who appreciates me. I know so because she tells me multiple times a week. She also sends me mid week pick me ups like Starbucks. I hope I tell her enough how much I appreciate her, because I surely do. Business is business but we are in the people business and being able to work with incredible people sure makes it worth it. #teamasset #assetliving#propertymanagement

🌟 Creating a Sense of Community through Marketing 🌟 #7/30days30marketingstrategies In today's business landscape, marketing goes beyond just promoting products or services. It's about fostering a sense of community, social responsibility, andambiencee. One stellar example of this approach is Starbucks. ☕ Starbucks doesn't just sell coffee; it creates spaces where people feel welcomed and connected. From cosy seating arrangements to free Wi-Fi, every aspect of their ambience is designed to encourage community interaction. 🌍 Moreover, Starbucks is committed to social responsibility, sourcing ethically grown coffee beans and implementing sustainable practices. This commitment resonates with customers, who appreciate supporting a brand that cares about its impact on the world. 👥 Through initiatives like their "Starbucks Community Store" program, which reinvests in local communities, Starbucks builds a sense of belonging beyond just being a coffee shop. They actively engage with customers and communities, creating a shared sense of purpose and belonging. As marketers, let's take a cue from Starbucks and strive to create not just transactions, but meaningful connections and positive impacts within our communities. Together, we can build brands that stand for something bigger than just the products they sell. #MarketingStrategy #CommunityBuilding #SocialResponsibility 🚀

I hope employees at other companies are looking into the things the people are saying in the comments and in other union groups. A lot of Starbucks employees express these same struggles that people see as normal. But, nobody is thinking about the fact that corporations use these “statistics” to stress their employees into giving up their paid and unpaid breaks hoping it will help them catch up enough so they won’t be fired. When the employees at a company say “oh? You actually took your vacation to vacation?” Vs what a lot of other people in the company would do, which is take their vacation days or sick days so that they would not get any new work, but they could get the work they needed to have completed finished on that day. Nothing is better than a vacation but a staycation where you stay at home and work a 14 hour day. If more people unionized and pushed back against these insane conditions. A lot of companies build PR around this idea of community, but they very seldom keep it. They leave you with this belief that the world is getting faster and it is you who can’t keep up. But, the reality is, those companies who sell you this idea of prestige and this idea of authentic and this idea of groundbreaking. Honestly, Olympia lost such a key piece to our community with burial grounds closing. Burial grounds was all the things people want to pretend Starbucks was. Burial Grounds was a representation of them. Burial Grounds was art, and it was a little weird, and they were all a little too nice, but, that was because they were doing what they loved. They were supporting their community, and they were paving a way for everyone here to have their own project supporting the community. Burial grounds genuinely provided the space that people wanted, and because they stood on their beliefs to the end, it is so easy to remember them fondly. But, you never know what you miss until it is gone. Burial grounds, I believe still has coffee beans for sale at the Olympia Food Co-op. If you care about genuinely uplifting your community, if you care about our houseless neighbors having an opportunity to at least use the bathroom and have a seat, if you care about the people of the community being able to support each other, do not let Burial Grounds die. #burialgrounds #burialgroundscoffeecollective #olycoop #olympia #Olympiawa

🌟 *Success Story of the Day: Howard Schultz, former CEO of Starbucks* 🌟 Born into a poor family in Brooklyn, New York, Howard Schultz's early years were far from the glitz and glamor of the executive life. He grew up in a housing complex for the poor, and things often seemed bleak. However, a football scholarship to the University of Northern Michigan became Schultz's ticket out of poverty. After graduating, Schultz worked various jobs before ending up at a small coffee-bean shop in Seattle called Starbucks. Visiting Italy and being inspired by the coffee culture there, Schultz had a vision of bringing Italian coffeehouse tradition back to the United States. He wanted Starbucks to become the 'third place' a place between work and home. But his idea was initially rejected by the original owners of Starbucks. Not one to give up, Schultz left Starbucks and started his own coffeehouse chain. It was so successful that he was able to buy Starbucks for $3.8 million just a few years later. Today, Starbucks is a multibillion-dollar global phenomenon, and Schultz, the once impoverished kid from Brooklyn, has a net worth of over $4 billion. Schultz's story shows that it doesn't matter where you start. What matters is where you want to go, your willingness to work hard, and your persistence in the face of obstacles. So, what's your vision? 💭💫 #starbucks #coffee #story #inspirational #motivation

Gérant adjoint du magasin Walmart succursale Rosemère à l'approvisionnement de nuit. Over Night Assistant Store Manager at Walmart 😃
Relationships are powerful. Our one-to-one connections with each other are the foundation for change. And building relationships with people from different cultures, often many different cultures, is key in building diverse communities that are powerful enough to achieve significant goals. Whether you want to make sure your children get a good education, bring quality health care into your communities, or promote economic development, there is a good chance you will need to work with people from several different racial, language, ethnic, or economic groups. And in order to work with people from different cultural groups effectively, you will need to build sturdy and caring relationships based on trust, understanding, and shared goals. Regardless of your racial, ethnic, religious, or socioeconomic group, you will probably need to establish relationships with people whose group you may know very little about. In our World today there are an estimated 474.7 million native Spanish speakers and about 100 million second and foreign language speakers around the world as of 2022, totaling 574 million Hispanophones in total. This makes Spanish the second most natively spoken language and fourth most spoken language overall globally.
At Walmart, we embrace the rich tapestry of cultures that make up our incredible team, and Hispanic Heritage Month is the perfect time to highlight the vibrant contributions of our Hispanic associates. We are proud to stand alongside our Hispanic associates, appreciating their unique perspectives, talents, and the sense of belonging that unites us all as one Walmart family. #OurPeopleMakeTheDifference #BeGreat #SecretSauce
