Finding ED&I a lonely place? It is no secret that we are all trying to do more with less when it comes to ED&I. So many people that I speak to don't have a team around them to share ideas (or workload). There is so much great work being done out there but still so much need for more. 📣 Introducing the Diversity Diagnostics ED&I Community! 📣 Join over 100 existing ED&I professionals from diverse sectors as we come together on a monthly basis to share all things ED&I! We don't just share what is working and what we need, we are action focused and come together to embark on shared projects, such as Skills swap which I talked about in my last post. Some current members include: Cancer Research UK (CRUK), EDF, AXA, Securitas Group, Save the Children UK, Essex County Council, Birmingham City University, Kingston University, Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service, Network Rail and many, many more! Come join us and see what it's all about! Sign up via below link to receive information on the next session :) #community #equitydiversityandinclusion #humanresources

Ahead of today’s release of Embrace Boston's 2024 Harm Report, Boston Globe Media's Tiana W. spoke with our clients - including Embrace Boston's Imari Paris Jeffries, East Boston Neighborhood Health Center's Greg Wilmot, and Children's Services of Roxbury, Inc.'s Sandra McCroom - to learn more. The report, which provides an overview of the city and state policies and practices that have historically disadvantaged Black residents of Boston and Massachusetts, serves as an ever-important reminder that while strides have been made, there is still much work to be done to create a Boston that is full of love and inclusivity. “This report hopefully puts blame not on people, but instead on processes,” Imari Paris Jeffries, President and CEO of Embrace Boston, told Tiana Woodard. “If we’ve created these processes, we can uncreate them.” Read more in The Boston Globe: https://lnkd.in/dX-34DEr

OneBridge Advisors, an accredited business will be presenting information August 24 to businesses about ERC. The BBB does not endorse any company and encourage everyone to do their own research. That being said that is why talking to an expert consultant can help. Find experts like Dean Francis to help you decide if you should apply. So many told no they don’t qualify are very happy they talked to Dean. Sign up for limited seating next week. Can’t wait to hear great success stories and getting people to have the light 💡 light up and say I better do some research vs saying no I was told I don’t qualify. Barry Moore and Mike King will be sure everyone gets to be heard
💥💥 Mike King and I discussed yesterday WHO will be “in the room” on August 24. So many great people coming. Register today! Only 29 of the 70 in person seats left. https://lnkd.in/ezJUcMcm Shout out to Andy Fulghum, founder of 212, Stacey Jones, founder of Mercy Mall, and Bryant Stratton community rockstar Beth Murphy - all who will be “in the room!” #community #impact

A look back at our feature series on the 7 days of Kwanzaa: The fifth day of Kwanzaa, celebrated this year on Saturday, December 30, recognizes Nia or “purpose,” which focuses on building and developing community in order to restore a people to their traditional greatness. The Nia principle asks each person to be services or mission-driven on the behalf of their family, school, and community. https://lnkd.in/eMc69yWQ

Fast Approaching - Legal Essentials for Caring for your Aging Parents. A Chance to learn more and have the dialogues before you need them. Check your calendar Monday November 13th at 6:00 pm. The goal is to be prepared with not only documents but knowledge to be able to easily step in when you are needed. This year I have had many families that either had Trusts that needed updated and reviewed or did not have any documents at all. This caused more work at a quicker pace to allow the family to step in help their parent. If family dynamics are an issue, which is also happening more and more, this should be discussed and addressed in planning. The goal is to center on the parents in need and be able to quickly assess their options. Please tell others that might want to learn more and to see Maplewood Long Term Care in Twinsburg. It helps to have looked at options and have your questions answered before having to need to use them. Maplewood is respectful and engages their residents. I hope we will see you next Monday at 6 pm. #estateplanning #forwardthinking #proactiveapproach
Just a Reminder that this event is taking place next Monday Evening, November 13th at our Maplewood at Twinsburg community. If you have someone in mind that could benefit from this event, please share this. #maplewoodseniorliving #legaleducation #eldercare #eldercareservices Denise Oleksy Watroba Susan Krupitzer LNHA, CECC, NP, CEAL Georgia Maistros
