CHILDREN IN NEED, IT NEVER GROWS OLD - One for the #marketeers here – what makes a #fundraising #campaign have the longevity to pull at the heart and purse strings year-after-year? The #London #marathon is a case in point (well, it was never meant to be a sprint!) but surely #ChildreninNeed truly takes the biscuit. Pudsey Bear’s #BBC drive has been alive and kicking now for 40 years – and there shows no sign of its generosity diminishing. It could be that it helps kids, of course. But surely, the fact that it so demonstratively changes the direction of young lives is also pertinent. That is certainly the case in #Oldham, where we have used funds donated by the #charity to engage with young people for whom even going out of the house is difficult, yet alone engaging in #education or #work. So, three massive cheers for Children in Need and to the organisers – whatever it is you’re doing, keep doing it FOR ANOTHER 40 YEARS AND MORE!
