Partner at CBD Corporate Services | Legal Expert in GCC Company Formation | Deputy Chair of the British Chamber of Commerce Dubai
I was in Saudi Arabia to visit the Department for Business and Trade team at the British Embassy in Riyadh. As part of the DBT’s Overseas Referral Network (ORN) for the Middle East and Pakistan region, CBD Corporate Services provides guidance and support to British companies and entrepreneurs who are interested in expanding their businesses into any of the GCC markets. Being part of the ORN network, we regularly visit the DBT teams around the GCC region to provide updates and know-how about any new initiatives which affect their markets, such as the recently introduced Regional Headquarters (RHQ) programme, any changes to the licensing regime for some of the key industry sectors that they represent (e.g. contracting, education, defence), and our observations on the nature of economic activity in the market. Whilst we were there, Fiona Hopkins and I also took the opportunity of catching up with some law firm friends and joined some of CBD’s Riyadh Team WALEED ALRAJEH CIPD 7 Sartaj Ahmad Mir. CBD Corporate Services continues to reinforce its position as a trusted Corporate Service Provider in the GCC region and will be sharing more key insights and considerations of doing business in KSA on 21st May at VOCO Hotel, Dubai as part of the British Chamber of Commerce Dubai (BCCD)’s ‘Doing Business’ breakfast briefing series.
