For the past two months, there's been a gradual decline in the production of food grade liquefied Co2 in my plant. Continuous Unsolved Psm alarms meant sleepless night You start through every technical checklist available Reboiler ✅ liquefaction compressors ✅ Co2 compressors ✅ Dryers✅ Deodorizer ✅ Having gone through all these and no solution , you definitely know you are in for a long run. And then comes the team, "they say no one knows it all" . Nothing beats having a team you can really on, makes work looks easy when it's not. Although it took months, the results were worth the wait. The pictures confirms that Gaswasher✅ One thing I have come to understand as a young and inquisitive technician is that, as long as you do not know where the problem is, you never rest. it becomes a part of you that you breathe it as the day goes by. Until you find a solution, you carry that burden. When you solve them, you learn and become better #Co2Recuperation #HighDeliveryPressure #PsmAlarms #Teamwork #PreventiveCorrectiveMaintenance #MechnicalTechnician #MechanicalDesign

Sampling systems are among the most complex systems in a plant. They feature numerous components and processes that must work together to produce an analytical reading of process stream conditions. That reading must be both accurate and timely, as this important result will be used to achieve a plant’s control objectives. Yet, a plant’s engineers and technicians know that a sampling system can be finicky. Every element of the system has the potential to impact the process analyzer accuracy. To help your team improve analyzer reliability, Swagelok field engineers have identified eight common challenges impacting a system’s accuracy. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eTGg6YdM

Gather information methodically to pinpoint the issue accurately. 🔍 Step 2: Identify the Problem Listen to the caller's description and ask targeted questions to uncover the root cause. 📋 Step 3: Interview Process Gather essential details about the system and pump setup. Ensure you have the necessary data to proceed. 📊 Step 4: Data Collection Photos, diagrams, and electrical data are vital. They provide insights into system setup and performance. 📈 Step 5: Analyze the Data Referencing pump curves and field-collected data helps identify discrepancies and potential system issues. 💡 Step 6: Recommend a Solution Based on analysis, propose solutions tailored to address the identified problem areas. 🛠️ Step 7: Additional Considerations Account for factors like glycol mixtures, pressure gauge types, and potential system deviations to ensure a comprehensive troubleshooting process. Remember, troubleshooting pumps often reveals system issues rather than pump faults. By following a systematic approach and leveraging available data, you can efficiently resolve commercial pump challenges. https://lnkd.in/gQ_9YcYh #CommercialPumps #Troubleshooting #Engineering #Maintenance #FacilitiesManagement #LinkedInLearning Feel free to share your experiences and insights in the comments! An Operations Minute Plant Maintenance teams - Silence is Golden With holiday shutdowns coming up, take the opportunity to power everything down in your plant except your compressors. Sit back and listen. You'll hear dozens of air leaks that have accumulated throughout the year. At each location where you hear air leaking, place a small piece of blue tape. Align with your quality team prior to doing this. Explain that you are not using the tape to correct the leak, but only to keep it visible. You can place numbers on the tape and keep a spreadsheet with all locations identified and track progress as you go. These leaks can be addressed one by one upon returning to the plant. Your compressors are typically the single largest user of electricity in your plant. $$$$$$$$$$$ Don't miss this opportunity.

💡 In an increasingly competitive industry facing a chronic labor shortage and the radical disruption of supply chains, it’s important to search for solutions that truly empower technicians, the people who are the heartbeat of field service. Many of the technology-based solutions that have emerged in recent years have failed to enhance the experience of techs in the field. The digital transformation of the trades promised to streamline processes and communication, but many technicians feel overburdened by the amount of documentation and data entry that is now required for every job. Some technicians report using as many as nine different applications in a single day just to complete straightforward jobs. XOi's Senior Process Engineer John P. Cahalan II talks to Contractor magazine about investing in the right digital field solution to protect and empower technicians ... your company’s most important asset.
