Start here... because the customer journey has never been more important. The search for new customers and clients can sometimes overshadow the need to retain existing ones. The value of a long-term or lifetime customer is almost invaluable as it can influence your marketing efforts and budget as well as create an organic referral structure that requires no marketing. While not everyone is part of their company’s marketing, it’s still important to understand the value of a lifetime customer. Spending on new customer marketing usually outpaces the budget for existing customers and while this is normally the best strategy, it can be worth revisiting how much energy your company is putting into retaining existing customers. This kind of strategy can also be applied, in a non-transactional way, to wider thinking in both business and life. When looking for a new job or building other types of interpersonal relationships, focusing on existing relationships can be a great way to get into a new space and meet new people. #mriraleigh #marketing #value https://lnkd.in/dsyigzJa

You think you're selling a service? Wrong. You're selling an experience. Time to elevate the mundane into the memorable. You’re not just a funnel builder or a marketing guru; you're a 'peace of mind' provider. Every interaction with your client, from onboarding emails to the user interface, should scream excellence. Elevation isn't an extra; it's an expectation. This is how you turn one-time buyers into lifetime customers.

I think the two most important questions that need to be answered when it comes down to marketing, especially a SMB service business, are 1️⃣ What’s my budget? 2️⃣ How creative will I allow myself to be? The answers to these two questions set your marketing boundaries. Having the creative courage to be be distinctive, and the means to get that message out there, is what matters. Everything else can then fall into place: → What channels do you double-down on? → How are you building trust? → What's your customer experience like? → Are you answering questions that your prospect has when they move “in-market”? Distinctive. Memorable. Accessible.

❌ MYTH: Likes and follower counts are enough to determine how well your pages are performing. ✅ FACT: Those metrics are a great place to start! But they’re far from the whole picture. Getting a more holistic view of your KPIs (accounts reached vs. accounts engaged, customer acquisition cost, conversion rate, etc.) will help you create a more comprehensive marketing strategy.
