Following off the inspiration from Aurelija Plėtienė, where she announced her upcoming MMRC presentation and associated nerves that come with stepping out of her 'comfort zone.'....I share those feelings, too, friend. 🙏 But, when things start to unfold, ya gotta roll. 🎢 Jeremy H. Gottschalk and I starting talking about this topic back in Dec. Since then, a series of activities/ideas have unfolded, a plethora of people have stepped up to help, and I'm so excited to share what we've pulled together in just under two weeks. Eek! Thank you, Holly Hetherington and Roseann Ferrara, for helping behind the scenes on the survey and making me look like I know what I'm doing (as per usual ❤️ ). Thank you, Dave Byrne, for filling out the survey, meeting with me to unpack your answers, where our #mindmeld culminated into bringing the two workshops to life. 👨🎓 👩🎓 Thank you, Ryan Stevens, for taking the lead on the curated mentorship matching idea and helping guide people towards making the right connections. 🤝 Thank you Chelsea Hower for helping facilitate the interviews, sanity check the 'themes' as we pulled them forward, and partnering with me and Kristin Kupiec on the read-out deck. I've truly enjoyed the chats between the three of us about how to best weave-in the mental health component in a way that acknowledges the reality of our chosen profession. Thank you to Max Pinnau and Martina (we need to connect on LinkedIn 🤷♀️ ) for driving all the comms and giving me grace when I asked for an extension on our due date of final content. 🙏 And, thank you, to the additional 20+ Marketplace Risk Advisory board members who helped drive engagement in the survey and provided peer feedback along the way. I can't wait to see many of my T&S friends at #MMRC24 and make some new ones along the way. Oh, and thank you Jeremy H. Gottschalk for helping me (often behind the scenes) for the past 4 (!) years. You continue to be pivotal in my journey. 🙏

I've been spending this week implementing Hubspot and learning all-the-things and need to give a HUGE shoutout to their product management team. This tool is so slick in so many ways!

Using this opportunity to share a podcast I did around my various career pivots from horse training --> today in Trust and Safety. Listening to my gut, being surrounded by people I want to learn from and working on problems I think are interesting / worth solving, has landed me in a place where I get to use my skills to fight human trafficking in a way I never imagined. Super grateful to be part of the Mission Omega team, who consists of extremely tenured folks who fight the fraudsters (that often use stolen money to fund human trafficking)....and a business that contributes the The Knoble who helps survivors on the other side. Kudos to the team and the immense success they've had in the past 2 years - excited to be part of what's yet to come! https://lnkd.in/dfWQdK_u

I was literally talking about this same thing with a friend earlier today. I've been doing a lot of 'work' for 'free' (in the monetary sense) this year and have stayed grounded by anchoring myself in the outcomes I'm looking to achieve (learning, sense of purpose, fulfillment). I'm thankful for my background in product management that built this muscle (focusing on learning vs. winning) and all the gifts that 2023 has brought that have enabled me to avoid dipping into my savings. I'll happily to keep doing 'work' for 'free' as the gifts it keeps bringing are seemingly endless. Thank you for sharing this Jeremy H. Gottschalk - it gave me a forcing function to share some of the thoughts that are on my mind. 🙏

Super grateful for the opportunity to share some of my thoughts and experiences related to not only scaling your operations as your marketplace grows but also how to measure efficacy (and awareness!) of your policy work at the Marketplace Risk summit last week in London. Thank you for the shoutout Colleen Beers - it was lovely to have your smiling and nodding face in the front row and appreciate the positive validation. And, it was a pleasure to share the experience with, you Aurelija Plėtienė :)

This is a great article that includes a list of solution providers that currently leverage consortiums as part of their core product offering, the benefits of data sharing when it comes to detecting and preventing fraud (and non-fraud IRL crimes that are often connected) and the concerns around data sharing and associated recommendations for addressing them.
