Physical Therapy Benefits Management Physical Therapy (PT) is the first line, most conservative treatment for many conditions including osteoarthritis to mild-moderate injuries. It can help reduce pain, improve function, and sometimes avoid surgery or reverse injury altogether. To ensure PT and conservative therapies are maximized, HealthHelp offers a Physical Therapy Program that ensures your members receive the best care possible, while reducing costs and improving outcomes. Benefits of HealthHelp’s PT Program: Our Physical Therapy Program ensures conservative care is maximized and avoids unnecessary procedures that can cause harm to members. The progress and outcomes of members are monitored to ensure that they receive the appropriate level and duration of therapy. The HealthHelp clinical guidelines ensure that providers are implementing the standards of care consistently across all practices as it relates to the use of conservative therapy. The goal is to work with physicians so that PT is not misused or overused, but leveraged as a valuable tool to improve member health and well-being. Our managed PT program improves the quality of care for health plan members, by ensuring that the anticipated benefit of the recommended intervention outweighs the potential harm that may result. By managing PT effectively, we also reduce costs to the plan, and ultimately to your members. The net benefit is the avoidance of unnecessary or excessive therapy to prevent complications or surgeries that may result from untreated or poorly treated conditions. Direct access to physical therapy means patients can be evaluated and treated by a physical therapist without needing a practitioner or other healthcare provider's referral. In other words, direct access lets you visit a physical therapist when you feel you need to see one. 🏥 Recovery from an ACL injury typically involves a combination of rest, physical therapy, and sometimes surgical intervention, depending on the severity of the tear and the individual's activity level. ⚽ Physical therapy plays a vital role in rehabilitation, helping to strengthen the muscles around the knee and improve flexibility and range of motion. Surgery may be recommended for individuals who want to return to high-impact sports or whose daily activities are significantly impacted by the injury. 🤾♀️ Prevention is key in reducing the risk of ACL injuries. This includes maintaining proper conditioning, using proper techniques during physical activities, and incorporating exercises that focus on strengthening the muscles that support the knee. 🚑 If you suspect an ACL injury, it's essential to consult a healthcare professional for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan. With proper care and rehabilitation, many individuals can recover from ACL injuries and return to their normal activities.

An undervalued concept in musculoskeletal care — Mechanotransduction In the realm of outpatient sport and orthopedic physical therapy, patients seek relief and recovery from musculoskeletal injuries or limitations. What many may not realize is that the key to unlocking their body's innate ability to heal and recover lies in the concept of mechanotransduction. This silent yet powerful process is the secret weapon behind successful rehabilitation. Mechanotransduction is the mechanism by which our cells detect and respond to mechanical stimuli, such as the forces exerted on our tissues during movement and exercise. Understanding this process allows us to prescribe exercises and movements that stimulate tissue repair and remodeling. This harnesses the power of mechanotransduction to tailor rehabilitation programs specifically to each patient's needs, promoting optimal healing and functional improvement. Incorporating the concept of mechanotransduction into rehabilitation programs empowers patients to harness their body's natural healing processes for optimized recovery and improved function. #PhysicalTherapy #Musculoskeletal

While Plethy's Recupe supports Remote Physiologic Monitoring (RPM) for orthopedic, spine / neuro, pain groups, and health systems. We are constantly asked by these groups if we have a solution for their associated Physical Therapy (PT) groups who see patients from outside. Yes, we do. We have been extremely successful in our Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM) offering to PT groups. Patients are engaged and follow their PT prescribed care plans between clinic visits. Recupe, with RTM, is making a significant impact by: · Improving patient adherence to care plans at home. · Providing PT with objective recovery and patient-reported data. · Encouraging and reminding patients to go to their PT visits – Thereby reducing cancellations and no-shows · Creating new growth opportunities for PTs and their clinics. With quantitative and qualitative recovery metrics, we're raising patient outcomes and engagement to new heights. #Recupe #RemotePhysiologicMonitoring #orthopedichealth #spinehealth #neurohealth #painmanagement #physicaltherapy #PTGroups #RemoteTherapeuticMonitoring #rtm #patientengagement #PatientAdherence #CarePlans #patientoutcomes #healthtech #healthcareinnovation #patientcare #healthcaresolutions #digitalhealth #physiotherapy #patientmonitoring #healthsystems #RecoveryMetrics #healthcaretechnology #patientempowerment #healthcareaccessibility #virtualcare #medicaltechnology

Mydriasis is the dilation of the pupil, which is the black circular opening in the center of the eye. This dilation can occur for various reasons such as in response to low light conditions, certain medications, neurological conditions, or eye injuries. Mydriasis can be a normal physiological response to changes in lighting conditions, where the pupil dilates to allow more light to enter the eye. However, it can also be caused by medications such as dilating eye drops used in eye exams or certain drugs like amphetamines or hallucinogens. In some cases, mydriasis can be a sign of underlying medical conditions like glaucoma, brain injuries, or neurological disorders. It can also be a side effect of some medical procedures or surgeries. It's important to consult a healthcare provider if you experience persistent or sudden pupil dilation without an obvious cause, as it could be a sign of an underlying health issue. Lenzvision can't wait to assist you.
